Snazzy! I hope the cruising bit doesn't make it even more difficult to get into an actual race than Burnout 4, I swear that game is 20% racing and 80% other things.

Funny aspect ratio.

The screens remind me of Need for Speed: Most Wanted for some reason. Can't quite put my finger on why. A similar kind of filter maybe, shared tech. Dunno.

I don't mean that in a bad way, they look nice :D

Enviroments look ok at best, cars look like they're wrapped in tin foil.

I think it's time for them stop the Burnout franchise, unless they make some drastic changes compared to the previous releases, it's getting a bit old now imo...

So EA is nice enough to show us the TWO cars that come with the game before you head to marketplace?

This is made by EA... you probably have to pay for each car on marketplace, the car doesnt come with the steering wheel, marketplace again, you want the car painted? guess what? marketplace, AGAIN.

Aren't these the same screens that were in magazines when the game was first revealed? So it's the first time that we're seeing them direct feed..but they're not exactly new, are they? I could be wrong, but they look familiar.

It'll look great when it's done, I'm sure of that.

I hope their new concept will work out. Instead of choosing the races through a menu you know ride in an open world for races kinda like TDU. And if you race good you gotta compete with best of the city etc. Really looking forward to it :D

Can't wait to see it in motion!

Would be awesome if it had the same sort of persistant online deal that TDU has. TDU has some great concepts working for it, but the presentation and execution isn't that great.

More specifically, it's Critereon, and when haven't they delivered on Burnout? Burnout 4 was my least favorite in the series, but it's still a nice game..not all of EA's developers suck. It's not even their developers that are their biggest problem.

I'm not sure that would even work, or if Critereon would have it! But that map looks a lot like Rockport in some ways and there is something familiar about the look of those screens!

I'm sure I'm just being paranoid....

Blue Dragon is an unimaginative JRPG featuring a myriad of JRPG cliches and very redundant looking characters. To even call this game "original" in any way is an insult to every great JRPG made.......all 4 of 'em......

Criterion builds engines (renderware) so if anything they're sharing tech with other EA developers.. hopefully this game won't suffer from any frame rate hiccups like the 360 NFS games do. I really like Most Wanted, but it could have been a bit smoother. The Carbon demo ran pretty horrifically.

I was never sure to what extent Renderware was being used these days. As you say, Criterion have a long history of making their own technology, I did say my nightmare was a paranoid one!

I think they've mentioned the PS3 as a primary development platform even, so it would have to be bespoke in that case.

Most Wanted I enjoyed but Carbon was much much worse.
