Yea how dare they change Turok into an FPS! Never saw much value in this franchise, perhaps they can turn it around, who knows.

Well, it's one of those fad things. Like there is a long stretch of dark antihero characters, then theres a stretch of righteous goody two shoes types. It comes in spades.

There are way to many shooters these days.
The reason this one is interesting is because it's with dino's, shooters of WW II and aliens are getting old and there are way to many of them.

The reason this one is interesting is because it's with dino's, shooters of WW II and aliens are getting old and there are way to many of them.
I love FPS, it may be my favorite genre (PC gaming is my first love) but I more or less think you're right, especially when it comes to console shooters. I enjoyed Resistance, but it really does very little to bring the genre forward and you've got an endless stream of run and gun crap hitting consoles.

There are exceptions, but I generally stick to Windows for my FPS needs. The primary exception will be Halo 3, but I did just get done forcing my way through Call of Duty 3 on veteran. What a chore though, the game is seriously flawed and the campaign does not even hold a candle to COD2.

Some good stuff out there, but way too many average shooters on consoles.

2007 is going to be an amazing year for FPS on PC though.

I know..it was sarcasm. This series has always been FPS, and will likely be FPS..so did you wonder into the Turok thread just to hate on the whole genre? It's not like this is the Xbox 360 forum here, the PS3 doesn't have a ton of these games already.

That's like me going into a FFXIII thread and goin, "Looks nice, but JRPG? Bleeeh!" ;P

This is one I am looking forward to. They are making a PC version for this franchise too, but it's not MH3, just a spin off. A MH2.5 I guess.
