News came out today that Worms is officially confirmed for a release on XBLA. There were some difficulties because Worms had to have a couple of demands before they would go on XBLA. Now that it's fixed the game can finally come out. The schedule for the XBLA releases are already set but I'm sure there's a spot free for Worms in the next couple of weeks

They don't do schedules :/

I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this tonight or not, have not yet decided. Guess step one is looking into what the achievements are, since there's a gamecube copy in the other room :/

Online co-op would have been an instant buy.

I just picked this up this evening, great fun as expected. I'm not holding out for online play--but it would be nice if they could patch it in. If this had online co-op it would easily be the best XBLA game (imo).

Actually this was announced ages ago and was supposed to be out in quarter four 2006. Maybe you should think about the fact that there is more software out there, and that there are people who want that software too. Worms has passed certification, so there is little doubt it will release this month. Blame Microsoft for holding back on a game that is ready to release, and stop complaining, PLEASE.

This one is definitely an XBLA killer app. Great game reminds me of the those oldschool 2D sidescrollers.
Now they need to make one where you can not only go left and right, but up and down with co-op and its even better. Awesome game.

I love the cool little slicing enemies with a blade touch really cool. When I first sliced an enemies head off I was like WHOA lol. Then there is the roll. Hell its like a 2D ninja gaiden with guns =P haha okay I went too far, but its a fun game.

You mean Castle Crashers? If you could move in another dimension, it wouldn't be a side scrolling shooter, it would be a beat'm up with guns ;P

It's more like Contra than it is Ninja Gaiden.

I just got done playing a ton of co-op with a friend, and it sorta sunk in just how cool it would be if it were online. I wish there were some hope that Behemoth would patch it in the future but I sorta doubt it. Great game anyway, and if you have friends around, definitely worth playing with someone else.
