Sounds familar, but i did find WoW to be pretty boring in comparison to FF11.

I only wish character data wasn't deleted after two months.. I just realized that :( I was 33PLD/30WAR/15MNK If they have some special resubscribe thing like they usually do I might bite the bullet. FFXI>WoW (I cancelled my wow account 2 weeks ago, 69 rogue, 19 mage)

I had 4 level 75 classes (including Dragoon) and the rest were 45+. I'm kinda glad they have that character data delete, discourages ANY thought of me going back into the game.

Haha i was thinking the same thing the other day.

I duno why SE are continuing to put time and resources into more add on's with this game.

They should hurry up with the new MMO, i'm getting bored of waiting.

Does FFXI really > Wow? I don't know =P

I've played both WoW and FFXI extensively and I can say that overall FFXI is the better game. WoW is very cookie cutter, FFXI is much more refined game with an intricate story; it's also harder and deeper. Also the type of people that play FFXI are better, a lot of them come from consoles and are nicer and more laid back. On WoW it's mostly PC MMO veterans (nerds) that are very snooty and get upset if you don't know everything about the game and such. The other great thing about FFXI is that you can play with anyone in the world regardless of location or platform.

The only thing that I don't like about FFXI is that once you reach Level 25 or so you can no longer level up by yourself, the monsters you can beat solo from then on will give you little to no EXP (mobs labeled as "Easy Prey" or "Too Weak..." will own you solo at later levels) so you always have to look for a party to join just to gain some EXP and sometimes you can be waiting for a party for hours. In their next MMO I hope Square will address this. Requiring parties for missions and quests is fine but you should always be able to level solo if you want to. Te great thing about MMOs is that you can just pick up and play if you have 30 minutes to spare or something but when you spend that whole 30 minutes of play time you had searching for a party, it's not very fun.

I think I'm gonna start up on FFXI again now. I've seen it for 10 bucks in local shops and since there's no 360 game I want coming out til late August it'll give me something to play over the summer, because summers here in Vegas mean a lot of staying inside by the air conditioning.

Yup totally agree, i found FF11 to be a better game also, there is a lot more depth to FF11 than WoW, and it has a friendlier community.

I also hope that SE address the lack of non party fighting, as this kind of spoiled the game, i think i spent 4 hours looking for a party as a white mage once :(

I was sure that SE were going to show off their new MMO at their Party thing. I'm pretty dissapointed they didn't. I was hoping for it to be FF based and part of the Ivalice Alliance games. I think Ivalice would make for a great MMO locale; you'd be able to choose between humes, vieras, bangaas, nu mous, seeqs, moogles, it'd be great. I guess we'll have to wait for TGS to maybe hear some news about the next-gen MMO. My only hope is that it's FF based.

Highly doubt it. Besides EGM has already said it'll take place in one of the previous FF world. Just not Vanadiel. Plus it make much more business sense to stick with FF name. :)

Just give me an Ivalice Online and i'll be happy.
