Since 6695 DaysI'd call it an evolution of turn based so the game looks as close to real-time combat as possible. Its like rewarding the player more making them appear to be doing a lot more in battle than just waiting for an attack to be chosen like in bd or lost odyssey. I couldn't call this true real-time more like very evolved turnbased.
Screens look a lot more subdued than previously, but I know in motion it will look much better.
