WOW i'm loving the fight sequences, as a practitioner of Filipino Kali, i love how the animations capture some of the moves spot on, graphics will hopefully get better, but i must admit this now has my interest.

Well I prefer the movies myself...but I love the hand combat when it gets "scripted", gets the movie feeling.

But other than that...its nothing for me.

i like the way the things this game are doing are quite subtle. its not a massive bump mapped mess, it doesnt have specularity out the wazoo, its nice and sedate. but still awesome. the camera work when he sprints, the very viceral effects when he's fighting, the very fast paced combat both melee and fire arm based. its not a "oh look at me, i have characters with 12,000 poly's in their hair alone" type game, it actually seems to be trying to do something new gameplay wise/animation wise.

I agree, when i first looked at the screenshots i must admit i was very underwhelmed, but seeing it in full flow, there was just something that was very fluid and well done about it, i'm looking forward to hearing and seeing more about this one.

I don't think they're trying to make it look like Matt Damon. Maybe they're trying to separate themselves from the movie conversion a little.. while still playing off its success?

IGN PREVIEW: They like it allot.

The game will draw from the books and movies, but feature its own take on the Bourne legacy -- and that's something the company is taking seriously. The folks from High Moon Studios made no bones about telling the press that this is the first entry in a videogame franchise -- hence why they aren't using Matt Damon's likeness after the star talked about moving on.

Yeah thats why i want a demo of the combat were i can see someone playing it, if thoes moves are being pulled of ingame then i'm sold. :)

now this is what i like. games focusing on AI, animation, physics, collision etc. that in imo makes a game more immersive and fun to play

You can seamlessly go from armed (there's eight gun types in the game) to unarmed combat, there's Bourne awareness to help you find enemies and objectives, and there's even a bit of trademark shaking camera thrown in to truly immerse yourself in the experience of being Jason Bourne.

It is, also it looks like these guys have gone for gameplay/animations as number 1 on there list then graphics second, still with a release date of Q2 08 there is plenty of time for improvment.
