The character's faces look awesome! The fur and the low res background look atrocious, unless thats blurring done by the DOF, in that case the DOF needs work.

Awesome faces there. That's looking pretty damn good. Those graphics are more than acceptable to me I'd just like to see animation as incredible as whats seen in MGS4 cutscenes. Now that for this game would be incredible.

IGN has added some new screenshots and this time they show off the HUD. I think the hud looks pretty good but I'm not so crazy about what looks like a health meter above the head of the ice looking robot. Looks a little a flat but maybe looks good in motion?

Still liking the design of the models and the design of the enviornments but not so much the execution. The textures are low rez and where are the shadows. Are they ever coming back?

whats even worse about those 3 new ones is they're in-game. you could almost excuse the other shots cos they looked like typical dev shots that where badly taken. these however show what we see when we actually play, and i cant say im impressed. graphically its ok. but man is that camera awkward...seems they've gone from having a camera miles away to it being badly placed...joy.

i hate to say it but this game is going to get scrapped.

its been too long and its costing too much money. MS could have spent their resources else where.

Lastly, you simply just never know when he’ll announce some new tantalizing details on that highly anticipated Xbox 360 game of their's.

Dennis is spot on regarding technology life cycle curves. The next generation will probably the be the last with significant differences.

Plus can you imagine a console with structure, online and software by MS, Industrial design and manufacturing by Sony and interface by Nintendo? Certainly, MS would be thrilled to be the online environment and OS provider of a single dominant system.

Sony is actually in a heap of trouble going forward as hardware is going to be essentially irrelevant, and MS may do to the console industry what they did to the PC world, which is probably why they got into the console business in the first place (besides keeping Sony from owning the living of course).

Sounds interesting about Microsoft perhaps they wanted to be an online software provider across a unified platform.

Man I must say.

This looks amazing. As a matter of fact all 3 of them look pretty damn good to me. Looks really good artistically even though I wouldn't be caught dead with that large gun :)
