character model renders as in they wont look that good when we're playing?

i cant deceide whether to be excited for fable 2 or worried, one button combat and a dog companion dont really sell the game to me. i just hope it delivers unlike fable 1 which was hyped up beyond belief.

Aye I don't like Western RPGs, did you not get that memo.

Fable and WoW are the only exceptions, but they are both fantasy worlds and have great art, so perhaps thats why.

because it shows what some of the characters might look like design-wise, pretty exciting, for me anyway. fable2 is my most annticipated game of 08' and its always a pleasure to see anything new about it

btw, anyone know when the 3rd video blog is out?

it was (although it was about as close to an RPG as zelda imo). but it was no where near the genre redefining experience it was PROMISED to be. basically everything that was really interesting about the game during development was removed due to technical restraints and whatever other reason. where did the real time environment "growth" go, the plants that grew into trees in real time. it was one of the worst examples in gaming history of a game underdelivering on all its promises. and i just hope fable 2 doesnt do the same. molyneux has a tendancy to be all mouth no action tho so i simply cant be excited about it. at least not untill reviews come out.

he's been very clever this time around.
the only things 'promised' so far are a dog, lots of love, and that you can never die in fable 2 lol.

the only other thing he has said though, which i think is very unrealistic is every single building in fable 2 will be available to the player to buy and own as their property
im taking that with a pinch of salt :)

Thats where we are different I guess, I don't expect much from this game other than to be a straight up sequel, many things devs say about their games are nothing but hype talk and bullshit IMO.

I play a game if I like it then good, if I don't then too bad, no point moaning about what coulda woulda shoulda.

@dcdelgado - I quite liked the first Fable actually, but I'm yet to be convinced by Molyneuxs theory on his one button combat. In fact we've seen so little of the game I don't have anything to be excited about.

Perhaps the faces looks similar but I was refering to the whole design, the Firth Element ones are taller and more humanoid. (ie they don't have pop bellies and sagging man boobs)

That looks pretty badass. I think Fable is a pretty awesome game personally. I hope there's more exploration in Fable 2. I wish some more RPG's could deliver TES levels of exploration and freedom.

Glad you see where im coming from. lolol you xyde old timers are funny. dont care if im a troll, shmoll, droll...blah blah blah...it was just an observation, something that came to mind as soon as i saw the renders. i really dislike these forum granpas trying to tell people what to think..The renders dont look carbon copy of fifth element, but they are similar facially. If you are good at observing, maybe you might have picked it up.

BUT! since ur a troll hunter, i guess you spend half your time scrutinizing peoples sentences for spelling errors and things higher than your understanding, so you can start an argument

One tip tho.. you should buy a macbook pro.. By pressing CTRL and mouse wheel, you can ZOOM into txt and read them easily...Should be a good tool to aid your troll hunting

yeah i know you can. But im a mac user...and ended my long term relationship with windows XP (didnt even use the feature then). The reason i suggested mac was because its quite easy to do and it magnifies everything on screen, not just txt and specific aspects

awwwww well.....u didnt quite specify , and your opening sentence stated "Not really no." which means you must have been in reply to my initial statement in this thread. Whatever the case may be, we wont see bruce willis or the Fit redhead chick in fable 2.. How sad .

And regarding the comment on the MGS4 thread, i wasnt trying to be cheeky, just being honest. It really does feel like Xboxye in here even with the green labels and everything. I guess the spirits are withing..
