MrWhite People don't read books. They'd rather listen to some dickhead talk smack about shit they haven't a clue about, despite them claiming they have an education in a certain field. Its enough to convince (25 minutes ago)
jmd749 Yes, we live in the information age, but most have lost the skill/ability of assimilating and interogating that info. That's why the small misleading sound bites on twitter/facebook is preferred. Sad (3 Hours ago)
MrWhite Instead people consult the oracles on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. All of them with bastardised and warped views of the world driven by decades of repressed bigotry as a hand me down at dinner. (1 Day ago)
MrWhite both on economic systems and a base understanding of the political spectrum. All you need to do is read a couple of books about history or biographies on prominent historical figures and events (1 Day ago)
MrWhite Look at what we've done with it instead. And you're 100% correct about the public now paying more through taxes and tariffs. That would have been obvious to anyone with a modicum of education (1 Day ago)
MrWhite What's alarming with these two things is that on their own, they're two amazing things. The internet should have been a great gift to humanity in driving it forward. (1 Day ago)
MrWhite @jmd749: I strongly believe the internet and widespread misinformation tools in the combination of smart phones and social media have done serious damage (1 Day ago)

The physics and AI look great, as does that fact that consoles get a map editor. Still worried the MP won't be so great but that was certainly a VERY impressive video. Looking forward to seeing more about the game. I really like the NY setting as well.

My biggest gripe is just the the bland MP, that is my biggest concern about any FPS, as that mode can give you hundreds of hours while no matter how amazing the campaign, that isn't were peopl spend a lot of time, or at least the VAST majority.
I don't think this game is lacking in style, as it's "style" is basically amazing use of lighting, AI, and physics, and destruction. If that video is a true indicator, this game is gonna take many aspects of the genre to new levels on consoles.
Killzone 2 and Gears 2 both had a lot of visual style, but both failed in terms of MP due to many poor design decisions. IMO of course.
Man, I don't think I played any Gears 2 MP except for Horde mode...which was awesome. I really don't like cover-based shooters online all that much.

I do think that the map editor could be a really interesting part of the game though. I love it when people make popular maps from other shooters.
My biggest hope is simply for co-op, but I'm willing to bet a lot of money we won't be seeing that. No shooter these days should go without co-op, IMO that's just a must-have feature at this point as it gives games SOOO much more value.

Crysis is a good game in it's own right. Also, it's funny how people seem to think that when a game has realistic graphics, it has poor art. Which is obviously plain ridiculous.
Yes, Crysis could've done better in terms of colourpalette and contrast to make it look more realistic (some excellent Crysis mods/configs show this). But that's the only area it lacked art-wise. Otherwise, it's excellent...

That rain shader effect is amazing. Sandbox is going to own.
Camera dude sucks. Show the PC screen and not that 360 one! I can't see the editor from the 360 screen...
