I have a question....What is the guys name, what country is he from and where does this take place???

he is from russia (hence the acent) it takes place in a fake new york by the looks of things
and his name..cant rem, and i am way to lazy to type in google :D

`Niko Bellic` is his name. I can`t wait for this title, but why the hell did Rockstar have to kill off Tommi Versetti?.

Anyway, I was hoping for some kind of co-op options within the game and I know that it`s way too early to jump to a conclusion involving a single player experience only, but I remain optimistic!.

Just imagine if they did a world where everybody was housed on one HUGE server........where every copy of the game gave the user two or three special attributes, such as particular weapons, clothes, hair styles....and the best one..........your own pad!.

Just picture the horror when you get home, as you insert the game, boot it up and then find out that your ilustrious `babe pad` is 34-Rochdale `dump` street, while my good friend ManThatYouFear gets a cool place in Beverly Hills rofl.

They could do it so that you could sell your house in the game and buy others for cash too. Manny gets a whopping pad and invites me, Geo, Nevsan etc all round to crash at his, at the expense of our own houses. Women could literally pop round to lap dance for us then spend the night doing whatever we wanted them to, before kicking them out the following morning lol.

Just my imagination going crazy again, but how ace would it be though guys?....seriously.

He is "Eastern European". They aren't being to specific, for whatever reason, but it's rather obvious he's supposed to be Russian.

Bellic (and Nico for that matter) isn't a Russian name. These kinda names are more common in the south eastern of Europe, all slavian states so it's no use to be very specific about his background.

I'm guessing he's Bosnian or Serbian.
