I for one have some reservations about the end, I just can't distill them properly yet. The Sci-Fi angle is both clever and over-used at the same time. I appreciate the need to link the lives of Ezio, Desmond and Altair together but it's in danger of becoming horribly contrived.

The imagery in these games is beautiful. Do we really want to ruin all that by setting the third one in the present day?

Can't wait for an excuse to get back into this. I've literally NOTHING LEFT TO DO in the game at this point. 1000/1000gs and every optional mission done.

@ Deft: Don't worry, the third game will follow the same template as every AC. There'll be present day developments, but it'll mostly be about history. Patrice Desilets is essentially interested in history and telling stories set during specific eras. The sci fi wrapping lets them do that while maintaining a convincing overarching theme.

That I appreciate and I think is perfectly fine. They can convincingly tell a good story over three games without overdoing the sci-fi stuff, I just worry that it might wind up being vastly overdone in III.

Well contrary to what people go on about it's never said to be a trilogy. If anything, they've said they're confident they can make many more AC games and Patrice has plenty more slices of history he wants to explore.

I think the sci fi stuff has a surprising amount of momentum and direction, and perhaps for the purposes of keeping things managable they'll give some basic sense of closure for that stuff in 3, but it certainly won't end there.

I have one problem with The Assassins creed games, Patrice Desilets taking all the credit. The two people who accepted the awards at the VGAs went as far as only thanking him by name.

Sure he's heading the development, sure he is the creative director but come on!

If it wasn't for his passion for history I don't think AC would even exist, frankly. Go back and watch this very site's interview with him for AC1, it's really interesting.

I quite enjoyed AC2. But its way too easy. Litterally the only times I died was when the auto-PK didn't quite line up with my inputs and sent me falling to my doom. Never got killed in battle. Anyone else find this?

Also, upgrading the township was over very quickly if you just buy the treasure maps from the artists. Then just becomes an infinite money fountain. :/

So I have 3 seals with one to go in tuscany but I dont know where the other 2 are,I guess they should be further in the game,Im only in sequence 6 or 7 I dont remember LOL I been doing a lot of side stuff that sometimes I forget I have a main story to follow such a fantastic game IMO.

Im upgrading the Villa and meanwhile I was there I went to purchase soem paintings and saw thsi map and I bought it only to see a lot of treasures in there so awesome being hunting those but there is one or 2 I dotn even know how to get them.

Anyway do you know exactly how far I am to unlock those tombs I really want that Altair black armor then finish the game and start hunting feathers,glyphs and all the other stuff lol Im more excited for the hunting of stuff that for the main story,I just love so much free running everywhere I dont get bored at all ever.

you get access to the tombs as you progress in the story, you dont get the black suit for much of the game tbh, at least as far as the story is concerned, which is a shame seeing as it's the coolest suit.

Well you can't colour the final suit, so if you got that really early you'd prolly just look the same for the majority of the game. It's kinda this crown to top off how awesome you are in every way when you finally get it. That and the sweet beard. :D

Yes all I really want its be in all black,Im playing with the main white one basically,I dont like that much all other colors well maybe the red one but not that much.

Im saving the feathers for after I finish the main story,I think I will clock maybe 30 or more hours in this

Unlocked some fun achievements last night,the one that you have to throw sand at four guards,the one that you have to kill a poisoned dude with an air kill LOL I got the the one from buying a paint in florence and venice too.

And still havent continued with the main story I know I have to finish the game but damn it is fun doing side stuff,in fact I think this game is teh more fun I had in a open world game in terms of side missions I dotn get tired of beating cheating dudes or assassinating other dudes I always set my marker and always go for the most impossible and stealth way of doin it,so fun.

I love to jump to the water if only to see the suit change when it gets wet that sort of detail I always loved about games,or when Im in a stealing mode I love when they yell "stop him" or something to that effect only to get lost because I blend in some hookers down the street

I sometimes feel like a pimp walking the streets with 5 hookers by me ahhaha so awesme.

I already upgraded the Villa to 100% I only need to buy all the paintings in all cities and upgrade teh armor and weapons and considering Im getting like 40000 flurins every hour or so in Villa income and other 20000 or so in assassinations and side missions it will not take long for that achievement to pop.

I didn't know how to throw sand until I saw that there was an achievement for it O _ O

Try and leave as many side missions for when you finish the story (I know it's hard) because once that's finished you'll be searching for more things do to, to keep you playing.

There are only a couple of games that I can think of where I've hunted for all the 'collectibles' because it was fun to do so, and this is one of them. Dem feathers!

Well, there's a ton of stuff you can do with the combat. Sure, you can just hack people down if you want, but experimenting with stealing weapons, dropping them on the ground just before people punch me and bare handed counter their punch to just knock them out instantly and stuff like that was SO MUCH FUN.

It's a game that is superb about letting you play around with things like that. I wanted to make a youtube video of me just endlessly doing different counters and takedowns and finishers and combos, 90% of which I'm sure half the people who played the game don't even know is in there. SO rewarding to dig into a game when it conceals so much stuff.

I got an achievement for killing 10 dudes no hurt,it was beautifull man all teh bodies there and all teh people freakin out¡!!!

I can pretty much kill any way I want,with fists making combos,countering kills,stealing weapons and kill another dude with that the drop it nad then kill that dude with a double blades to teh throat.

I agree you can spent all day doin stuff and the kills are so satisfying adding a plus to the whole deal.

I have to say though Im having a little problem with teh armorered spear dudes not because I cant beat them but Im still trying to figuring out a no hurt way to do it.

Any tips?

I learned a quick and effective way for them,I just deal with them unnarmed and I counter kill them with his own damn weapon!!! easiest way IMO

Ok now Im on sequence 9,I have my Altair Black Armor and that thing must be the best freaking suit I ever seen(not counting Bayonetta) the details are just to beautifull,I just love the looks of it,and the little speech Ezio give when he took it was a nice touch:

"Thank you Altair,this will help me against my enemies"

Kinda like passing the torch to Ezio or something.

I got almost all achievements minus the feathers one,the upgrade all that that one will take me like 10 minutes tonight though its only some armor upgrades and thats it,and the find 20 subject 16 stuff I dont remember I been in a hunt for this ones and Im 6 short still but they are a little hard to figure them out,in one I got stuck like 1 and a half hour in some hard align a combinations of numbers and symbols to get a password :/ I was this close to check out a guide for that stuff damn it!!!

now to finish the story and then the only thing left would be the feathers and the glyphs!!

then to wear the cape everywhere and that will be all,to teh story with no distractions just side missions for after Im done 1000/1000.

I got the game recently. Got the Ps3 version, my 360 is dead, and PC has the horrible DRM...

I really liked the first game, despite it's shortcomings. But wow, this is so much better, really enjoying it!

There's so many content, love having a *base*, lots stuff where to spend money, story has been quite interesting so far, better missions. Good stuff.
