Yea I found out thats awesome that they did that. Most other games would give us loads of cg for the filler stuff until we got our shadows or they'd just set it up so you got into no fights until you do something that triggers an event where you get your shadow.

The game continues to surprise me :D

Yea i wonder if you get your shadows at level 2 or you have to trigger a scene like you say.

Man my console is like an hour away ... *dances happily Marumaro style*

They say blue dragon moved 40,000 units of software on day one (not including the bundles)


I think that's pretty damn good although as someone said on any other platform it would be doing much better than that. Incredibly jealous of jolli :(

Knowing sakaguchi I bet there might be some really cool story related cutscene when the "real" forms are first revealed to the characters atleast I hope thats what they do as that would be pretty cool and could be seen as a missed opportunity to pile more story on the already great things they've been doing in the earlier parts of the game.

Also it took a guy on 2ch 19 hours to finish the first disc ;)

A guy on GAF finished it in 35 hours, but that was just stream rolling through the game.

So at least there is 35 hours, i dont' like my RPG's exsessively long otherwise i lose interest.

Yea I saw that jolli, but its most likely due to the fact that the guy just simply didn't explore enough or bother with too many sidequests.

I'm seeing awesome things about the battle system. It seems the early hours of the game from what I've read serve more as a means to get you use to the game's battle system.

i've played Zelda for that many hours and i'm not even half way there!!! i've trying to collect everything and do all the mini quest.

i know Blue Dragon, if out earlier than Halo 3, will hold me over to Halo 3. i hope it doesn't come out around the same time as H3 cause i might not pass it. there were alot of games that i purchased and didn't finish because of Halo 2. either way, i'm going to play ass much of this game as possible. i love exploring, which is what i do with Zelda, and finding every little cave.

this game will be awesome!!!

I know a single game might not do it, but Blue Dragon is an incredible start to say the very least. By the time Lost Odyssey is ready for release people will have warmed up to the fact that the 360 has some great things to offer in the rpg genre and a more polished up lost odyssey is going to shock people and there is no doubt in my mind about that fact.

Then there is Cry On and of course Microsoft is likely going to announce new jrpg titles at next years E3 or TGS. They BETTER announce something else big at E3 or people are going to start thinking that Microsoft is staying their course in terms of strong japanese content.

Which reminds me i have the LO demo to play aswell :)

And I reckon LO will be better than BD, hopefully it's harder than Blue Dragon, everyone has been saying it's very easy, If LO is about the same difficulty as FF7 then that would be good.

Haha nope not saying that at all, but its pretty clear that Lost Odyssey coming second is definitely going to be the one of sakaguchi's games to benefit the most from the japanese market's trust.

I've actually heard quite a number of people say the early parts are easy, but they honestly believe its because they wanted everyone to get use to the combat system. People are saying as they get further into it there are enemies strong enough to put you on edge and kill 2 to 3 of your party members or more. Also the charge bar that we all know about its very different for each spell in terms of how fast it fills and at what pace it moves so it makes it impossible to predict how the charge bar will move for a certain spell. Thats a very nice touch.

Well my console just arrived but i didn't have the cash on be to pay my import tax so I have to have it redelievered on Monday.

Man am i so pissed off.

Guess i'll have to watch Blims video's with the rest of ya. :P
