I just finished single player and........

Something I missed from the story. How come you kill that guy (the black guy), from that sniping spot very far--"15 years ago", yet you have to kill him again at the end?

Did he not die from that headshot?

Well then if you haven't gotten it for the ps3 or pc and you are in possession of a 360 then you better get the game immediately. I really like how awesome this thing looks and plays. Definitely feels like the best shooter of 2007 to me personally. The game isn't even native 720p so if this is the sorta thing we can look forward to then I say they stick with this resolution. Is it 600p?

All I know is that on my hdtv it looks as good as any game can look :) I saw so many sites with this ridiculous up close inspections of textures and that is so idiotic I don't know where to begin. Not once have I ever though to concentrate on textures in such a manner during gameplay and when I did they looked fantastic. Sure when you go closer they lose the illusion of looking as amazing as they do, but move back just a small bit and the illusion of an extremely high resolution texture is there again. No different than how I'd lose a bit of a ton of quality by going extremely close to my hdtv.

I unlocked my MP44, yay. Now I want my golden deagle and I'm all set. I'm having second thoughts about playing this game competitively, just because it seems like my team is pretty much falling apart before the season even starts.. and I really don't feel like learning to play with strangers again. It's a damn shame really, I was really looking forward to it.

Still love the game.. will still pub w/ competition rules to stay on my game.

I'm level 28 now.. Got the G3 not to long ago, and I really like that gun.. It's precise and feels powerfull..

Also happy I could ditch the standard sniperrifles after I got the Draganov.. Especially the M21 really sucks imho, I couldn't hit an elefant with that thing if it was standing in front of me..

Thats what Im using at the moment. I find it really difficult to use guns without the laser dot now though.

I already have a laser dot on my G3.. But I'm using the M60E4 machinegun with the forward grip (so no laser dot) aswell.. Also one of my favorite guns atm.. It's very powerfull, and has decent range and accuracy (especially with the grip), and the sound it makes just kicks ass.. The G3 sounds very nice aswell, and that's what I like, heavy powerfull sounding guns.. I also use stopping power and deep impact on almost all my guns.. Firepower is all I care about.. When I hit someone he should be dead.. Kaboom! :)

I haven't used the G3 much.. but I have a feeling you'll really like the M14 too. The LMG's are almost too good if you ask me. I don't use them simply because they seem a little.. cheap. LMG's + deep impact = shoot through the entire fucking level :P

P90 is a great weapon too, when it comes to close combat. All the weapons seem to have pretty awesome sounds. Surprising comments about the M21, I don't use it much, but it's my favorite sniper rifle. Rate of fire is insane, and it has very little recoil.

Well, my M21 doesn't seem to put the bullets where I aim when there's a bit of distance between me and the target.. It moves all over the place when you fire it.. I would call it a spray&pray sniperrifle, lol.. The Draganov feels more steady to me, and it does more damage, so that's my obvious choice atm (probably until I unlock the R700, because the stats on that look even better)..

Overall the leveling in CoD4 seems pretty fair to me.. Even though some guns and perks you can unlock do give an advantage, I think 95+% is still upto the skill of the player.. And I like the fact you are forced to make a choice and cannot use all your unlocks at the same time, that would make things really unfair..

Only thing that sometimes annoy me is when there's to many people in a server that do nothing but use their grenadelaunchers.. That weapon really does feel cheap..

Okay I bought COD4 today and I went straight to MP, good shit.
I am a bit dissapointed that there is no guest feature for online, my sister wants to play as well.

Anyway, I am going to SP later on.

I had some luck that I had money left for Mass effect next week as well, so I ha to pick a good FPS :D

You're right.. the M21 is like a BF2 sniper rifle :P

And the grenade launcher, while cheap, doesn't annoy me as much as claymores. Set it and forget it--pretty much bullshit kills. Still, they're both banned in competition play already, so that's the final word on that. I stopped using the M203 at all, simply because while I seem to be without a team now, I still want to be ready to compete if I find one that suites me. I hate joining a team w/ total strangers.. which is why I'm pretty disappointed in the way my squad leaders handled this game. Shame on them.

The good news is, I hit level 55! WOOT. I love my reward.. the Golden Desert Eagle is so sexy it hurts. Oh and FYI, there are no prestige levels in the PC version of the game. 55 is max.

The ranking system is sorta funny. I feel like i just beat multiplayer.

Yeah most definitely a wise decision.

I dont like modern type games, but this game is so freaking intense, from SP to MP, great stuff.

I FINALLY unlocked the M4 Carbine so all I have to do is now go and unlock its parts :D

I just started with SP on Regular ;)

Then back to MP.

I just have to wait for AC this week and ME for next week :D

Im torn on whether to do prestige or not. On the one hand you get the cool symbol. On the other, you lose all of the stuff you just worked for.

Nope.. can't say it bothers me much though. That leveling up stuffs for roll players :)

Hardcore mode is a lot of fun.. I just wish it were more "hardcore." I guess people can take all that stuff out of their server (martyrdumb, M203, UAV, Airstrike, Helo, etc) if they want--but people don't want to unrank their server. In the coming months just about everyone will be level 55 though, so I don't think that will matter much longer.

I still haven't even touched the MP44. I'm was going to go on about my favorite load outs again, because they've changed a bit (partially to match competition rules).. but I'm a little tired so I'll just say..

I love my gold desert eagle. POP POP POP! You're dead.

I checked the special features that you can add on the M4 and I am dissapointed to see that there is EoTech scope, they have it on single player but no on MP, booo!!!

But good to know that the acog is there.

So far its AWESOME, intense, and fast respawning...great stuff.

Its hard to see the enemy with their camo and all, but I guess that the point of camo :D

Just because they're a higher level doesn't mean they're good. I was just starting out on a team of 40s, and I was the only one who broke 20 kills. Once you unlock the carbine, the playing field is even. Up until then, its a rough ride. You still have hope!

I agree with Phaethon...just because they are high on ranks doesnt mean they are good, it only means that they have played the game alot.
