Yeah Halo will sell a lot. Let us see TLOU is very new so I do not think it will sell that much. I think Sony needs to do GOW series in 1080 60fps. If possible psp version too otherwise GOW1 and 2 with upgraded gfx would be sweet. I think that will sell a lot along with remaster of GOW3 and GOW:A. Those are still the best games of their genre. GTA V remaster will also sell good I think.

Anyways, I don't want to guess how many times Halo sells, but (more importantly) it definitely is a system seller. Imo it's the first real system seller on a 'next gen' console to be released.

If they bundle it up nicely with a console for Christmas it will skyrocket the console sales!

Personally I believed that IF I'd buy a console this Gen, it would be the PS4
But this Halo MCC is so tempting, while the PS4 still has nothing that makes my fingers itch, although I know it's the better console regarding horsepower.

I'm not at all confident that Destiny is ever coming to PC.

And for what it's worth, Bungie's console games are finely tuned/paced for gamepad play. Not that it wouldn't benefit from mouse aim, but they don't handle like many PC games either.

This is pretty much the only FPS I'd play on consoles. Well, that and Halo 2.

For some odd reason, I thought the game was releasing on PC along with consoles... I had no idea a PC version was not on the cards. Strange considering it's EA! The game could a massive success in Origin.

EDIT: OK, I am losing the plot, Activision is the publisher...sigh

PC version will come out in early 2015 probably. To ignore the PC platform at this point I think is kind of stupid and they know that.

Sure they sacked up money from both MS/Sony for console exclusivity, it's a business after all :)

And on other topic - I personally like the HD-remakes, it gives people the chance to catch up on good games, be it LOU or Halo. But you also have to realize that remasters are the new lens-flare or HDR this gen :D

Still hoping for a Quantic Dreams remaster triple-pack

Watch Dogs is a system seller imo. Lots of people grabbed PS4s and Xbox Ones solely for that game. It also helps that the game kicks ass.

However, I agree totally on MC collection likely being a system seller. It would be impossible to pass on that package. Plus, I love the thought of having all those Halo titles on my Xbox One. Played Halo CE many times, so I'm truly excited about Halo 2 and Halo 4 on Xbox One. Nothing can change my overall impression of Halo 3's story execution in retrospect, but maybe I'll enjoy the actual campaign a lot more than I remember. Then the Ridley Scott Halo series is a bonus. I probably won't be going nuts over the Halo 5 MP beta, but we'll see, I suppose. :)

Gotta disagree. Watch_dogs is great fun once you get past the admittedly terrible first and second acts. Screwing around in the open world is great too. You try any of the side quests? The ones where you gotta stop the caravan of baddies and knock a few out... holy hell those are fun

I actually loved the first Assassin's Creed. Thought it was an awesome first effort and one of the best new IPs I had ever played. Was it without flaws? Of course not, but it was still a great and enjoyable game that did some awesome new things. Watch Dogs is an even stronger first effort (much stronger in fact) for a new IP. Ubisoft made a great game. It's not perfect, but very few games are. Their take on the open world game is a unique and, dare I say, innovative one. They packed it with a lot of great content, it's a very exciting and fun game to play, and they have themselves one amazing foundation going forward. It feels more like an open world stealth title than your typical GTA or Saints Row game, at least that's how I play. The game has so many fantastic design decisions. Things that didn't seem like there was any way for them to work, such as taking advantage of the variety of hacking opportunities in a way that is well executed and feels good while driving at high speeds, or when you find yourself in a tough spot while on foot, but they found a way to make it happen and, best of all, made it feel believable, rewarding and very spontaneous. For all the negativity around the game, it does some genuinely great things better than I've ever seen them done in other big open world games. I found it humorous watching people post video after video of their pirated PC copies online showcasing bug after bug (some of which only appear in pirated PC copies), or showing us how Watch Dogs didn't have GTA's incredible attention to visual detail, as if that was suppose to be some type of surprise or serve as repudiation of everything the game attempts to do. Ubisoft titles are well known for their more simplistic or clean (however you want to call it) visual presentations. GTA games have layers upon layers of detail, so much so that people barely ever stop to appreciate all that those games manage to do on a visual level. I didn't buy Watch Dogs to have my mind blown by eye melting graphics. I was always more excited by the potential for the gameplay, and the feeling of stepping into a game world where I'd be able to manipulate and take advantage of the things and people around me to such an amazing extent.

At the end of the day, none of the criticisms ultimately manage to take away entirely from the collection of things that I think makes Watch Dogs such an awesome experience, especially when you play the right way and are smart about how you choose to take advantage of the capabilities provided to the player.

And somehow I think you would have a very different view of Watch Dogs if it were a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Are you really the same guy that is so excited and blown away by the order and deep down? Now bloodborne? Not my style of game (none of the dark souls, demon souls style of games are either), but I at least see it as legitimate reason for excitement. I don't desire to play them (in the same way that I didn't play the Bioshock games), but I do know how good they are.

You mean the stand in the road and shoot your pump action grenade launcher...yeah. They're boring. But then i've never been a fan of games where you have to create your own fun. As for the mission...2...that's how many out of all of them i found genuinely fun. And they happened back to back at the end of act 3. The rest where shit, repetitive or tedious. Sometimes all of the above. That last mission was one of the worst things i've ever played in an open world game...no hyperbole.

More things change, more they stay the same. :)

If the best plan you came up with for dealing with those missions is stand in the road and shoot your grenade launcher, then you're clearly doing it wrong haha. How about finding a spot along their travel route where there is maybe a steam pipe. Wait for when the target vehicle drives within range, then hack it for the instant takedown. Then while from a concealed position, one you preplanned for to make sure it's within range of the road, toss an IED, then hack that for a massive, multi-car explosion? Your target either dies from that blast or is desperately on foot after the successful vehicle takedown.

edit - And I pray to god you played on nothing less than the hard difficulty, or even realistic, where the enemies are actually a genuine nuisance at many points.

Hard. and why do all that convoluted make your own "fun" BS, when my method works 10 times better, and takes 5 seconds. These are repetitive, by the numbers side missions that serve as trivial busy work and tick box tasks. Why take more time doing them then needed. I'm not a sucker for punishment (although after playing through this POS to completion, maybe i am?)

Charmless, characterless garbage. i'm genuinely not surprised you enjoyed it.

It's not about doing what's easiest or may be simplest. These are basically simulation sandbox type games of sorts, that give you a set of tools, and then it's up to you to decide how you want to use them to have fun. The point isn't that I could maybe accomplish this much easier doing it this way every single time, because doing it the fastest way isn't always the goal or even the point. The point is to challenge yourself by creating different situations or scenarios to see the different ways in which the AI will react to what you've done, which in turn usually leads to you having to adjust to what's happening around you in real-time. You make the wrong decision, and it will cost you, and that's what makes games like Watch Dogs so exciting. You're robbing yourself of the full experience by just doing things that way each and everytime.

What do you think made that initial Watch Dogs showing at E3 so awesome? It was the idea of causing a traffic accident at an intersection that could have turned out any number of ways, and then responding spontaneously to the situation as it developed on the fly.

But the lead up to that situation is repetitive, by the numbers busy work. In essence, a chore. Why extend that experience when i can be done with it sooner and never have to deal with it again? You're forcing yourself to create more interesting situations because the situation the game delivers to you is not. How anyone can consider that to be a good game, i do not know.

When i'm at work i'm efficient at what i do so that i can get through the menial tasks as fast as possible and move onto better things. The side activities in watchdogs (bar the hideouts which ironically have the least amount in the game) are those menial tasks. And i see no reason why you'd take longer doing them then they need to. I have better things to do then make work for myself.

It's a videogame, the point is to have fun and take in the experience. Allow yourself to get drawn into the world. You're treating it like it's a job or something that you need to set a world record for doing. It's not about being done in a hurry, and nor is it giving yourself extra work because in a lot of ways you're choosing what you want to do, and how you want to do it in many cases. You can just as easily drop or ignore most things as you desire. That's the freedom you have. In this game, or even in games like GTA, a lot of situations are what you choose to make them, and then the game responds to what you've done. That's kind of the point. It gives you the initial scenario or setup, basically letting you know what you're dealing with, and then it lets you take things from there. Why willingly opt for the most boring route, when you can actually make things exciting.

It seems like you prefer to have your hand held more often as you get funneled through the experience in a quick, linear more predictable fashion, and as a result of that desire, it's how you're choosing to play. Nothing is exactly wrong with wanting fast, linear and predictable, but it strikes me as strange to bring such expectations to an open world title that gives you as much freedom of choice as Watch Dogs does. Seems like a huge waste if you ask me, but obviously we disagree. I love it, you don't. That's fine.

Its not so much about that. Take the gang hideouts. Its a series of dudes you have to take out spread across the environment. There is player option involved but the fun stems from the layout of the enemies and taking them out. Either aggressively or stealthily. Those convoy missions have enemies in a few cars bee lining towards you in a conga line. The situation presented to you as a player is limited unless you go out of your way to make it more then what has been presented to you.

Similarly i like AI in games that runs for cover, flanks, hides, traverses the environment because it is designed to make you change tactics, make you think on your feet and make you be "imaginative". When AI is broken, and they just charge headlong at you so you can shoot each one in the face over and over with no challenge or change in tactic from the player, I see that as bad design. Yes, i COULD run around and try to make said AI entertaining to fight, but that's me going out of the way to mend a problem i don't need to mend. That's what those convoy mission are akin to. Charging AI. No fun to fight, no fun to tackle, no fun to play.

And the fixer side missions are even worse. And again. Ironically those are the ones with the highest mission count. Ubisoft loves giving us loads of unfun things to do in their games.

Good job of contradicting yourself. The best games seems to be old games, that's the way it is. Those are classics that will never fade away.

I think GOW collection would be great and nice build up to next game which according to some rumors is in development. In any case it is one of the best action adventure games so I would happily play it again. There are many more people who probably have never played or new to see the series.
