Marumaro for the WIN !!
I just got my invite!
WHOOP WHOOP!
Congratulations! You've been selected to participate in the Diablo III beta test.
As a beta test participant, you'll have the chance to check out all five hero classes -- barbarian, witch doctor, wizard, monk, and demon hunter. You'll fight your way through part of Act I and go head-to-skull against the Skeleton King, taking him on alone or cooperatively with other adventurers. You'll also get to meet up with some of the artisans, followers, and other key characters from Sanctuary, and try out the game's skill and crafting systems.
At the same time, you'll be helping us test the stability of the Battle.net?® service and fine-tune the game balance prior to launch.
We also invite you to share your Diablo III beta experience with the world! All participants can take screen shots, capture video, and/or publicly disclose information about their beta test experience.
We look forward to hearing your feedback, and we'll see you on Battle.net!

So the mother of all questions; Did Blizzard do it again?
I can't give a definite answer on that one since the beta is just a small part of the game and a lot of systems are left out at this moment (most importantly runestones, which alter your skills), BUT I have to say this is one of the most polished beta's I have ever played. Aside from 2 small issues I've encountered (flickering of subtitles during cutscenes, and one of the lore voice-overs that didn't work) everything feels, looks and plays as smooth as butter.
It really seems they have nailed it, this really is a Diablo game and it's so much fun. They've made you feel more powerful in this game compared to D2; Your abilities/skills all have that extra oomph that make enemies fly across the screen or blow up in chunks. The physics are pretty amazing and a lot of the stuff that's strews across the screens is destroyable or is affected by your abilities.
Graphically the game looks great IMO.. This is mostly because of the art style and the little details Bliz has put into the game. Technically speaking though it's not as impressive as say Crysis or something, but it does have some really nice effects like fog or dust flying around and the effects of your skills/abilities are top notch!
Sound wise it's amazing! From the environmental sounds (ravens cackling, owls hooting, wind blowing, etc.) to the music (awesome scores, some remixed oldies), to the skill/ability sounds (I especially like the witch doctors Haunt ability, where a spirit haunts the target and when it dies you see a soul floating upwards and you hear a slow wail!). Kudos to the sound department...
Will post some more later today and talk about my 3 playthroughs and I'll post some screens tonight...

I think.
Anyway.. opt out of betas on battle.net if you don't want them. You just wasted someone else's opportunity to play a game they actually want and you don't. Thanks.
And i am not in, i was singed up for it by auto when i upgraded my WoW account to battle.net account along with cata beta then signed out of both, but still got in both..

Gets invited into beta, turns it down.
I waited YEARS for this game (as have all fans) i can wait a little longer, i watched the vids they released when they announced it, and i read the odd thing in here, but thats it, diablo is to good to ruin, i am staying clear of shit that might get me hyped and pretty much ignoring most of it.
