I like how IGN fails to note that Blizzard actually did respond, and almost immediately. There were responses on Twitter from Blizzard on the subject several hours before IGN even posted that picture.

Though I have heard quite a lot of bad things about the whole model from some veterans of the original two, about how the developers who created WoW have developed Diablo 3, not the Diablo devs( Most ignore that fact). How Blizzard fans are so blindly loyal you could heave shit on a plate at them and they'd say it was god's golden droppings, etc, etc.
I personally don't give a shit either way, I don't play their games, and have zero loyalty. But I do agree with the critics that their real money auction is a crooked racket. Possibly one that would even make EA go, "goddamn that's pretty evil". And the truth is, if it does well, you know who is copying that model.
Future may prove fickle, and Diablo 3 may or may not lead the pack, who knows.
