You dig?
All in all, its a nice racket they have setup, if you can't see that I don't know what to tell you. South Korea and a few other countries already won't allow it, not sure how it's going to be legal here. Try to grasp the potential of this. Think eBay, only without a physical, or sustained product, which can virtually be taken away from you at eBays will.
Edit:
The interesting consensus I've observed from their die-hard fans is this idea that they [players] will become rich somehow. By over-saturating a market, I fail to see how you will turn a profit even if you play 24-7. Either way, this type of play and thought-process is ideal for this system, which is ideal for Blizzard.
Could you imagine slave-gaming workshops in relation to those percentages they charge? Even if they only charged a one-time fee, they stand to make a killing on this alone. I wouldn't doubt well into the quarter millions yearly just to start.

I agree, it is a racket. Blizzard is positioning themselves to mimic a merchant services business, collecting %'s based on transactions. All in all I'm not surprised. I wasn't planning on ca$hing out any items until I found something worth while and/or decided to finally quit the game. If you decide to spend money on virtual goods, do so at your own risk.
I just wonder how different the market will be on either platform (GBAH and RMAH). Maybe the gear on the GBAH will be limited mainly for the obviously appeal of "earning" money in the RMAH, and maybe that's for the best.
My biggest fear is the long term repercussions of implementing such a thing. If this becomes the new way of gaming in the future, much like the DLC craze with xbox360 and PS3, you can just count me as cashing-out.

Zapp Brannigan: If we can hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards...Checkmate.
Then peons with Gold version need to pay money for the game!
That must be it!

Lots of beta codes here. I managed to get one, Phaethon too seems like. Wooo
Most keys must be used by now. Still worth a try.

Very shitty.
That said, I still wish I got in. I tried many more than dozens of keys before I gave up.
SWTOR is totally just WoW in space.. ya know.. with a set of Bioware stories.
All games are just Pong with flashing lights on them don't ya know?
I was surprised by how fucking awesome the barbarian is, seeing as normally melee characters aren't my thing (didn't like barb in D2).
Demon Hunter kind of sucks to be honest....
Witchdoctor might be the coolest character though

"The hull has been breached and the SCIENCE is leaking OUT!"
1. demon hunter
2. barbarian
3. wizard
4. witch doctor
5. monk
Currently playing: Bad Company 2(PC), Mortal Kombat(PS3), Starcraft 2 (PC)
Wasn't impressed by the skills and character...
Barbarian was really awesome, skills really make you feel powerful and all those enemies just fly across the screen when you bash their faces in...

Same here.
Here's my rank:
1 -> Witch Doctor;
2 -> Barbarian;
3 -> Wizard;
4- > Monk;
5 -> Demon Hunter.
And as i said i rarely enjoy play melee characters. So satisfying play barbarian make shit explode, you just feel very powerful.

I missed this bit of news from last week. I have to say that I'm a little worried about this game now. A lot of the beta impressions have been sorta so/so, and they've been indicating that the game still needs a lot of work lately, while also dropping clues that the launch is drawing near. I'll still almost certainly hop on board on day one, but I'm not as confident as I used to be that this will be great.

If I remember correctly Jay Wilson has stated more than once that their primary focus would be the SP/CO-OP experience. If you also look at their official statement they just don't feel happy about the current state of the PvP section in the game (which was seperate anyway, considering it's played in arena's).
I would rather have them take their time and release it for free at a later date and feel like it's actually polished than throwing it in from the get-go and having it feel like a sloppy job.
Also what DLC are you talking about??
I've been in the beta since last year and I for one feel that all of the changes (big or small) have been for the better, sure having those runes that change your skills was awesome (but the amount of different skill + skill effects was getting out of hand)
I still trust blizzard to deliver on the same level they always do...

The more I have heard about this game the more I feel it won't be as good as Diablo 2. I am sure it's still fun game but eh.
Maybe someone will kickstart real Diablo 2 sequel.

Call of the ancients on Barbarian looks really nice. The Blizzard part looked like crap :/
And here's a video from some hidden areas on beta, don't think can reach them anymore :(, looked great though: http://www.twitch.tv/vggaming/b/311431163
It's bit shity about the lack of PvP at launch because they announced it, and then said going to release after launch. It doesn't affect me though, my main interest in this is SP - Co-op. I really enjoyed the beta to take a glimpse of what the full game will offer, i will be there day 1.
