So I get into a fight that's required to further the story, and if I happen to die I should be punished by having to see this hideous character? I see where you're coming from but that's a ridiculous concept and doesn't justify why I can't fix this one problem. No one is asking for there to be potions to affect every little aspect of your character. The game is supposed to be about choice, it's not so much of a choice when certain things that happen are forced upon you and there's no way around it.

I just read we're able to pay a fine if we get defeated to avoid scarring, but I take it they took this feature out considering I died once and didn't see anything pop up regarding the issue.

Seriously? Boo hoo.

Don't die. Wear a shirt. Beat the game and start a new character.

You're actually complaining about this?

So you can remove the blue lines if you remove the skills you've purchased?

Is there any way to get rid of battle scars? I have tons of markings on the back of my female character. It actually looks pretty nasty, as if she had leprosy.
Only if you remove the WILL powers.

You CAN have Wil powers but atleast 2-3 spells but they have to be lvl1.
I got shock spell and that tslow motion/teleport spell, both on lvl1 and I overuse them and I havent got any blue markings on my skin.

Yes but it's sort of a "secret" i guess. You have to buy castle fairfax to get it.
Yeah that is what I have read too.
Once you do change it, you can never change it.
It's funny, depending on how your current character looks like and you change gender, the new one will be as ugly or attractive, evil/good...just another gender but same "stats" you had previously.

I am trying to figure out how to make my characters face to look like this except the horsns http://images.gamersyde.com/gallery/public/8893/79...

BTW have anyone gotten that chest buckle? I can't find it anywhere?

And once you complete the main quest and do the final choosing to end the game, can you continue to play with all your stats? If yes...it would be awesome!

Yes you can keep playing the game after you beat it. Though i certainly didn't see the point.

And yes, Sath, of course your stats remain the same even after using the sex change potion. It's a sex change potion, not a re-roll potion ;)

I think that is my problem with Fable 2...it's hardly a game, it's more of a toy.

Megido...thats nice to hear then.
But after the main quest is odne and probably all the sidequests, I am gonna create a female character then and see how it turns out.

mt_sabato: there's very little challenge in the game, it just let's you do whatever without having you put any effort in to it. Money is abundant, exp is available in form of cheap potions, you can't die, you get all the equipment you'll ever need a few hours in and there's no incentive to ever do side quests or search for treasure.

For me a game without a clear goal and lack of challenge is not a game. I don't care if i can buy every house in the world if there's no actual point to it.

i get your point. i played the game for a while yesterday, was a bit disappointed. First of all, with so much time in development and so much big-mouth talking from Moulineux, the games feels very very rough around the edges, technical wise, specially crappy animations, physics glitches, some models (i decided to choose to be a girl, expecting to find a cute model to look at. damn, was i wrong, the character is horrendous...weird proportions, strange chest...very poor model and lack of style), etc

And yeah, definitely the first feeling was, wow, this is so much aiming to the casual gamers! Like, Press A to do this, now follow the shinny light to your next objective. Now, press x+y to kill foe. Dog barks to tell you there's a treasure there. Now get wife, this woman likes dance and smile. Now, you dance and smile...
ZzzZZZzzZZzzzzzzzzzz.....

Again, this was just a couple of hours of game yesterday. Maybe I'll get into it, but for now...I don't get the praising this game is getting...

More like, I originally just stated that I would have liked the ability to get rid of scars, until someone tried to justify that I should somehow like it... I'm still playing the game and it's not a deal breaker for me. Maybe you should read the whole conversation next time. ;)

I did read the whole conversation. A potion to eliminate scars would take away one of the two forms of already too lenient punishment for dying. The game lacks challenge as is... among other things like depth... and good loot... and a reason for actually digging up/finding treasure.

To sum it up the game has a serious lack of "good" in general :P

im still glad i did buy it, for those 25 hours it took me it was enjoyable. it was just dissapointing at the same time. its the lack of things to do once the game is complete that gets me down. and with the game not rewarding you for exploration. you cant even do that. basically the ability to carry on playing the game after its complete is pointless becasue there is nothing to do.

I just found the time last night to finally beat it(and man, what a shitty, anti-climactic final confrontation) , and I must say, it was one of the most disappointing games I've played. I'm glad I'm done it though, so now I can start on Gears and Fallout.

something that made me really angry with the game is if you want lots of money, u can raise the prices in the shops, but you turn FAT.

you wont believe how much celery i hads to eat to make me thin again as well as lowering the prices back down to become 'pure'

greed shouldnt be a link to fatness, thats stupid.

also the stupidest thing which ruined the game for me, (ok, bit overdramatic but it reli annoyed me) was right at the beginning of the game when i first got to bowerstone i tried to steal from someones house but i got cought so i decided to do comunity service. fine. but the because i was obviusly inexperianced had just started the game, the bandits in the grqaveyard were fuckijng unbelieveable strong because im stubban i didnt run away but i got knocked out about 10 times before i finally gave up. (where the hell was the balence?? putting a new player against really hard bandits when later in the game on mercinary jobs all u have to do is kill a few beetles...???!?!?!?)

so anyway i didnt realise at first til i got back to town but my character took such a beating he was incredibly ugly and made it hard to chat up the ladies¬!!!!lol!!!! which annoyed me.

theres lots of other things that irritasted me about the game too. LIKE WHY CANT YOU SHUT YOUR OWN FUCKING DOOR OF YOUR OWN FUCKING HOUSE TO STOP 100S OF PEOPLE FOLLOWING YOU IN WHEN YOUR TRYING TO SHAG YOUR PROSTITUE WIFE???

oh yeahs theres way too much loading too. only 2/3 proper towns. not enough cutomisation. the main story was patheticly shit. the side quests were boring. by the time i had got my self a nice house and good amount of money coming in from shops and a nice wife and house ect, the game bloody finishes lol. and i cant b arsed carrying on now the storys over.

oh yeah too many invisible walls. the big troll which should have been the most intresting enemy to fight was boring to kill. (i mean after the 'bosses' on gears 2 looking back at fighting the almighty fable 2 troll made it seem like a walk in the park)

no where near enough adventure. i got so excited at the beginning of the game where it said 'bowerstone... 120 miles... (or however many) i actually though it was going to be that big i was like WOOOW holy shit i cant wait. then a loading screen comes up and im there lol. i was like oh man...so much for the adventure

i didnt like the way you have to stand there and take loads of damage befgore you can use your charged up will spell. its easier and quicker just to slash them all or shoot them

the gold trail was shit. really anooyed me, but if you turn it off theres nothing in place so you know where to go.(i thought the dog was meant to lead you to goals?) so i had to have it on so i didnt waste stupid amounts of time. again took away the sense of adventure.

blocking was unreliable. BOWERSTONE. i cant belive first of all that most of it you cant go to. and also theres loading inbetween areas. that was so frustrating i literally went onto the regions map and made me get there automatically because i knew there was going to be a loading screen anyway. and i hate loading screens. bloodstone was much better, no loading inbetween.

overall dont get me wrong, it was a great game i really enjoyed it. but il agree i think with gamespots 8.5/10.

but keep going peter"!!! one day you will nail it, just not this time. maybe fable 3.

lionhead are meant to be making a 'big' fable 2 related announcement today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fingers crossed they accidently only put half the game on the disk and therefore have a rather large patch to correct this

either that or it'll be download content or something lame. if it is, especailly this soon after release and what with all the special edition fuss, they had better be giving it for free.

well it was big enough to be held back a week, it was meant to be announced last week as lionhead staff wanted, but microsoft said no because it would draw attention away from nxe.

your right completely though, it wont be mindblowing, or probobly even good. but it'll be intresting to see what it is...as long as its free.

Loving the game so far. Had no idea the combat would be this good. I not too long ago experienced this really cool moment where I knocked a hobbe to the ground impaled him with my sword then lunged forward with sword only to run and jump over one enemy to do a broad swing of my sword to knock 3 enemies at once off this cliff.

It also helped that it was accompanied by a cool slowdown.

I thought I wouldn't want the bread crumb trail active, but I've come to find how useful it is.

I like going off the beaten trail, but I like the feeling that if I do decide to do such a thing, I can easily get back on the right track anytime I feel like it. The dog has been pretty damn useful as well.

Useful how?

Had it not been in the game, it would have played exactly the same for me...except I wouldn't have spent as much time digging up useless items.

The items my dog has found haven't been useless. I've used things to teach him how to become a better tracker.

The dog has also been very useful in a number of other ways by warning me about danger up ahead. There is a part in a cave that, had it not been for the dog, I wouldn't have immediately found the path forward. He was leading -- showing me where to go.
