ok, think i've realised what could have sparked the uncomfortable reaction from peter. the description of the character is "jo, middle class lesbian" although it still doesnt quite explain why she's on her knees...lol, maybe she's a confused lesbian

She just dropped out of surprise. I don't want to rewatch the vid to see what Peter actually did. She was far away from the character when she dropped to the ground, no way they had physical contact with eachother. And yes it's your dirty minds and everyone seems to instandly jump on it, in a negative way.

nah, she was close, they made contact... whether it was "mouth to cock" contact? who knows. they where close tho, and she did drop to her knees. i think the reaction was more to do with the lesbo thing tho

the combat looks fun, but more variety in moves, or combos would be nice...for the sword i mean.

hile the public seems to be eyeing Gears of War 2 as their next huge title, Fable 2 is looking more and more like it could steal the show. During out time with Microsoft here at E3, we were treated to an open demo of the game with famed designer Peter Molyneux. He took us around town a bit and fielded some lingering questions about the game.

Some amazing coop gameplay off-screen from GC (from 6.40secs in is just wow, i'm loving the look and feel of this game) you can tell however that when you choose your coop partner, you better trust them or they could make your gameplay experience a really bad one..

looks cool, kinda dissapointed to see the game has the same "fable 1" linear paths through an area tho, especially having seen the earlier footage of a large explorable world. i guess you can only "free-roam" in the safe zones? pity. still a day one purchase tho.

nah, you can clearly see by the level that its a corridoor like area. no room for exploration. (high walls, thick woodland) its not like the area he showed where he had a husband and child where the barrier between path and freedom was a small "hop over-able" fence.

what is shown in that footage is a very linear area. im just hoping its done by design for that one area. cos if its a case of "safe areas = explorable" and "combat 'quest' areas = confined" thats a bit of a downer. to me tho that level looked like it was plucked straight from fable 1 in terms of its its linearity.

as i said, its not a game killing problem, just an observation, i still want the game more than any other on the 360.

Oblivion had areas like that also as i remember, so i dont think it will be a problem.
the only stuff in oblivion i remeber being restrictive area wise was underground. above ground the thing was wide open.

nah i remember many times were i wanted to go a certain route and there would be a tiny little rock or stone in my way that would signal an invisible wall, and i would have to go another route instead, of course i in noway expect it to be as free roaming as oblivion, but i expect there will be many free roaming areas to explore and paths to take in Fable2.

It happened outside in Oblivion as well. There would be small stretches where you were blocked in by various structures and could only proceed in a certain direction or back out.

Fable 2 has to have focused areas like that because if it doesn't then that will hurt the game. It has more than enough exploration in other areas, but situations like that I don't mind only being able to go down a specific path. It allows them to better plan the game.

I expect Fable 2 to be pretty confined and linear really.. at least compared to TES, but then again, compared to TES, what isn't? I don't seem to recall many areas you couldn't travel in Oblivion or Morrowind, aside from ya know, the edges of the world.
