What makes you say that? I'm fairly certain the demo will sell truckloads of copies of the game, and make believers out of skeptics. I heard a piece of a rumor a little bit ago that suggests they might have hit some technical hurdle trying to get the demo out the door. I just hope it doesn't set them back too far - I need this demo.

we know this game looks great in motion, and sure it may have the most disapointting collection of screenshots from any game ever. but we really need to just wait for the demo (or the game. what ever comes first) before we can judge it.

Hard to reply to certain posts, when you start judging a game thats all about gameplay on graphics...
When you know the game looks better than most in motion and judge it by photos...
Thats all:P
I still think this is a must buy if you liked the 1st one.

Ya definitely a must buy, but I thought the graphics were damn near perfect already, but the last minute 2XAA announcement catches me by surprise and taints the look for me, but its all about fun racing anyway and if I barely had a problem with 2XAA in pgr3 I shouldn't have any issues whatsoever in forza 2.

The Forza 2 pic also isn't 720p, which negates the comparison a little. Poor comparison.. not that I think the current crop of Forza 2 pics look.. good or anything. Still looking forward to seeing it for myself. Bring on that demo.

Turn 10 is making just as many bad PR decisions as Sony was if not far worse.

They probably wont be releasing that demo anymore for fear it could affect sales of the game negatively.
You aswell as many seem to be forgetting why the original Forza was soo popular, becuase it certainly wasnt for its graphics

not really, i been playing Forza on my Xbox 360 and it actually looks like that first screenshot. It freakin blows my mind if they can make the gfx that good on xbox, and not like 100x better on 360.

My biggest beef isn't the graphics, but things being promised then they come out and confirm they needed to make sacrifices which is acceptable. They said thanks to these sacrifices they'll be able to make sure the other things they promised would be in the game. Its a bit annoying after everything that has been cut for them to confirm to us again via che on neogaf that things like 4XAA would still be in only for it to end up on the list of promises they couldn't keep.

I wouldn't have as much problem with 2XAA if they weren't promising 4XAA up until the very last minute. It doesn't affect my intention to buy it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit disappointed.

It's really unimportent if they use a brand new engine or tweak the old one. The best engine will make a game look like crap if the content is bad. That is what it's all about. Most content from Forza 1 is still good, but other looks really bad, because they adopt it 1:1 from Forza 1. Best example is NY, i can't understand how they could use those old Forza 1 textures. But to be honest, the cars and lighting is excellent and looks real. I really ask myself how good the physics will be. Up to now i've never seen a gameplay video in simulation mode.

Actually, only two of those shots are new (elise and zonda), but I wonder if they are really NEW. I had seen the others long time before though, that's for sure.

None of the assets or textures were re-used from Forza 1. Obviously things are going to look similar, they are the same real life tracks. Laguna Seca is going to look the same in both games unless they change the way it looks like from its real life counterpart. Some of the comments in here just baffle me.

Just look at the shots you posted from Laguna Seca, the textures are clearly different and higher resolution.
