According to IGN, the GT trailer was all real time.....

Not in the least surprised. The Prologue intro looks fuck'n amazing enough already.

Yeah, if you pause the video you can tell all assets are definitely in-game, how they look in replays basically. I guess the only thing they added there was motion blur.

They use photoshop like colour filtering with lots of motion blur and amazing camera angles which makes it just look so damn awesome

No way I'm buying that was all real-time especially from IGN. They are the same ones that claimed they had confirmation that MGS Rising was indeed a 360 exclusive.

I'll believe it when I see the gameplay. Some of that was real-time, but some of it was also most definitely in-game assets in spruced up video form or a replay mode with added AA.

Just unreal man. That video interview totally did it for me. I mean, I was already impressed, but just hearing them tell it makes me so much more excited for this game.

Also they mention receiving screenshots on their cell phones during the show with visual enhancements and, you know, I don't even want to consider the possibility of this game looking any better than it already does right now come release. Too much to take in :)

Career mode has been totally revamped and will shape itself based on the type of driver you are and the cars you like. Having just played some of it before E3, I found it to be actually addictive in the way it doles out cars, rewards, and events.

Also improved will be the AI, which are not only more dynamic on the road and in a pack, but also react appropriately to the player as you chase them down on that back straight before the final corner. In other words, no more generic AI cars that never ever stray from their pre-programmed splines.

The ingame stuff for this game is by far the best ingame graphics of any racer. That to me is crazy. But it's true. Those trying to compare GT5, we have seen no in cockpit actual contolled gameplay yet, so no comparison can be made. But against GT5P Forza 3 is a clear graphical winner.

But not just that but the game features and community features are a mind blowing concept. Thumbs up to the Video editor. Cant wait till October.

If what Che says about driving AI sometimes making mistakes depending on the pressure you place on them, then we could indeed have moments like this.

Haha, I never go online with most of the online titles I have. Damn shame really.

Played Halo 3 MP beta, but never played Halo 3 online. Was impressed with COD4's online, but never actually tried it. Thought Gears MP could be fun and never touched that either.

Forza 2, I've never gone online with that game.

Not really, I am so frustrated online. 7/10 people online are idiots impossible to play with. This is true for any racing game, it's natural idiocy I guess. It is EXTREMELY fun to play with a group of decent people, it's just really hard to find them. Then there are times that you do find them, but then suddenly you lose connection and it's just frustrating.

I guess the right answer to Optimus would be more like "they can be online".

Watch as the camera rotates at 30 secs. This game is obviously not fully rendering the interior during gameplay unless you are inside the car. I'm sure it is saving a lot of resources by doing that, but it takes away realism and IMO things like this give the upper hand to GT.

In PGR4, GT, etc etc, you can see the interior at all times of all cars, along with interior shadowing. I would say this is the biggest "problem" this game has in terms of graphics.

Well yea, but not on a monthly basis. It's a yearly thing which I guess I don't really mind since I WILL go online with games like nba 2k9 every now and then and I like operating on the thought that if i ever do wish to play online, I can.

So it doesn't go entirely unused, but the usual mega popular online 360 titles aren't the ones that you'll normally see me online with.

The part your talking about clearly looks that way due to the tint on the windows. Just like a real car you can not see everything inside the car when the windows are tinted. An outline is usually all thats visible. There is plenty of screenshots of replays showing the interior clearly visible when their is no tint on the windows.

No, that is not yet gameplay. I watched several other videos before saying what I said, when you are actually playing, the interior is mostly almost completely hidden. The video I posted shows it best because it looks like it's direct-feed.

Obviously, this is after all the best looking racer out there isn't it?

I think that adds a lot to the visuals though. Seeing interior shadowing for example, it really brings that "wow" effect all the way through.

I agree with Lebato, but it appears a foregone conclusion that there are many other things they wanted to get into Forza 3, but won't have time for due to October release date so they'll probably need to hold them back till "4orza Motorsport" :)
