looks like GT5 will have interiors on all the cars, premium as well as the standard models, it just says the standard models will be much less detailed. This is good and bad news. Good that I'll have the interior view for all cars, bad that the inconsistent look of different cars is going to hurt the sense of immersion.

either way I'm really just wanting to play this game NOW. I really can't wait to hook up the G25 wheel and take this game for a spin. The city tracks really have me excited.

Luckily all the cars I would have mostly driven with are premium models, so I'm good. Still cheap they went that route after all the smack talking, but whatever. Too bad the Caterham Super 7 isn't on the list. Not that surprising though, most games rarely have that car :(

The only real problem there is that it makes having 1000 cars kinda moot :P This is very annoying to me, as GT has always been about the CARS. If they couldn't maximize them, they shouldn't be in there. 6 YEARS. That's pretty ridiculous. Give any quality dev 6 years and the'd have more, I bet. Look at the PGR series- plenty of cars that looked great, lots of tracks, detailed cities, day/night driving, weather( that impacts game-play), a track editor of sorts, and it didn't take 6 friggin' years :( Sure it wasn't a Sim, but they didn't want it to be.

They have swapped the car for 'Star in a reasonably priced car', It's now a Kia Cee'd in the new series of Top Gear. I hope they still put in the old Laceti model and times as i'm determined to be Simon Cowells lap time.

Excuse me? Oh that was an abrupt change of topic. I hate that section--and pretty much any other non-serious section--of Top Gear. Thank god for DVRs and the fast forward button.

I read the new car will be a Chevrolet? When is the new Season airing? Been waiting for it... for ages. Need my Top Gear fix.

@Lebato: Tough luck, Top Gear is an entertainment show first and an auto show second. "Stars in a reasonably priced car" isn't always good for me because I don't know many British celebs. But it was great when they had JK there topping the board for a second time. Schumacher and the "Stig reveal" was great as well.

At 2:30-ish, after the crash, can anyone explain to me how a car can just suddenly stop after a spin like that? It looks almost as if physics were simply turned off for a few seconds there.

lol, that video--while bad ass--does not help your point in any way. You do realize the camera pretty much goes out after the car hits the wall right? So in other words, you can't tell shit nor make any remote comparisons from that.

150mph crash and the car stops after just 1 spin :s

Who says you need to see everything to know when the car stops? Just be more observant. Look at the debris, smoke, driver's head movement in the rear view, and listen to when the tire squeal stops after the car's impact. It's not that much longer after the crash....

There's people in GTPlanet pointing that out as well, to me it just stands out as wrong and awful.

Crashing into a load of boxes is quite a bit different for obvious reasons...

Discussions about physics, lol.. It looks fine imho.. But I doubt it will be as good as FM3 when it comes to carphysics (GT is more about looks), but we'll see..

Biggest letdown of GT5 is that it's still not released.. Development takes way to long.. Sony should address that imho..

There's people in GTPlanet pointing that out as well, to me it just stands out as wrong and awful.
I just went on you tube, and after looking at several vids, the only thing wrong with the GT footage is that there is no body roll at all. You've got to remember that there is friction on the tires( the road isn't wet) and the driver is trying to get out of the spin. How many times do think it should spin. The vid looks fine...

My biggest gripe about GT5 physics is the way the spin out so easily and it always seems completely random when it happens. It also has this strange balance where RWD cars understeer a crazy amount and AWD+RWD cars spin out spontaneously, its unpredictable and it happens so rapidly it looks to be impossible to recover in time. At times, It looks like someone has literally hit the back end out.
