Proof that you don't need more gigaflops of processing power and extra super duper GPU's to blow people's balls off with. Seriously, it's incredible still what developers can still do with hardware from almost a decade ago. Possibly the crowning jewel in the current gen's life, this. Na, not possibly. Easily.
Disagree completly.

This doesn't look "that" impressive.

Looks good,but would run and looked better on next gen consoles/pc. Rockstar are kinda weird anyway with there releases(no read dead redemption for PC?!!) so no surprise really.

One thing I noticed here is how... smooth or "fast" the game looks, I don't know what's making it look like that.

Maybe it's just the responsiveness of all the systems?

I play primarily on a PC, quiet a high spec just to get that stick out of the way too, and I'm impressed by this. See, it's the details and the technical aspects, and the fact that the world is absolutely fucking massive. It's some achievement. The amount of work gone into this is mind boggling. Speaking of mind boggling, this "Reminds me a lot of GTA4". Really? I wonder why that is.

That's like refusing to watch Star Wars because it was made in the 70s. I really don't see the logic in that.

I'm impressed as well, but more-so by the fact that it is running on 8 year old hardware. Being a PC gamer, I'm sure you have seen some highly modded GTA IV's that make this look dated. I don't think anyone is saying that game looks horrible, just that the hyperbole of saying it looks easily better than every current gen game as well as next gen games may be a bit over the top.

I don't want to take anything away from this, as I think it looks gorgeous. I have however, seen better looking games, and I'm not ready to crown this best game of all time after one short video. If I get my hands on this and I can fly a jet with little to no pop up and shoot up the city with little to no slowdown, all the while maintaining this level of visual fidelity? Then I will eat my words.

It's not so much how it looks, although it looks fantastic. It's everything else. World, physics, characters, gameplay mechanics. Even on next gen systems, although its still too early to tell properly, I'll stick my neck out and say you won't find a game as impressive all round as what this is early in next gen systems life. This is pushing the envelope of what to expect at the bare minimum of next gen at least. As for mods on the PC, I've made a few of my own for the game. I've said it before, I'll say it again: I don't like the ICE mod. I think it destroys a lot of GTA's visual art style. The engine just wasn't built to accommodate highly detailed and realistic assets at all. I've built my own high poly models, have them fairly high detail textures and normals, but when you port them into the game, they look absolutely nothing like the source at all. It downgrades them. The more slightly blurry and colourful and exaggerated features suit the engine more. Slapping on high res textures and mucking about with filters to wash everything out does it no favors.

Can you imagine how cool the multiplayer part will be?!
I spent hours and hours in RDRs Multiplayer hunting bears with the knife or riding around together with my brother - and this time we might get jets!!

Looks absolutely amazing, I still play the shit out of gta iv so this is gonna be so so much fun, Dogfights in jets over the city or racing up mt chilliad on racers.. The options are endless on this, if i'm still getting value out of gta iv now, imagine the value i'll get out of this. That's a key point people are missing, value for money, and by the looks, this will give heaps
