Bollocks if it was me then i agree its terrible to punish the gamer, but its not me so i hope they all get BANNED for life!!!!

Actually I heard from a very "official" source that the Banhammer might be dropping. I couldn't believe it when I heard it as lucky punters are just that and don't deserve to be banned, me included!

Has Frankie officially debunked this because whilst legit, I can well imagine a misunderstanding from leaked Epsilon accounts getting banned. At least that's what I thought it would be. I hope so, even though I only let it sign into the menu last night :S

Idiotic move. How can MS and Sony be sooo stupid at times?

I can see it now: a couple thousand Halo fans, who got lucky, get banned from Live and cannot play their $60+ game on Live and can claim pain and suffering due to the hype and excitement and missing out... and costing them more $$$. They could nail MS, Bungie, and the retailer.

Everyone, including gamers, lose.

MS needs to go after the retailers and shut their mouths about honest consumers caught between the mega-million-corporate-greed crosshairs.

Exactly which is why I just assumed it was a mix up between banning Epsilon leakers and people getting the game. Even though this was from the horse's mouth so to speak, I thought nah, they couldn't

In my initial paranoia, I did consider unplugging my network cable and staying offline till next week but in a fit of tiredness last night, I stuck the disc in to check it worked while I was signed in. Played in the menu's for five minutes and then signed out. Haven't even played it yet!

I'm hoping Bungie come out and put the kibosh on this soonest.

Who is your source??

When I signed in last night, it didn't look like Matchmaking was enabled (the servers are being upgraded). I really only went to see if there was anything under Bungie Recommends.

For Halo 2 there was a stat reset on Launch day so everyone started from the same point to keep it fair. Banning Live MP till release day is fine in my book, but don't make me get a new gamertag or Xbox. They would have a horrendous PR mess on their hands if they did that.

Well, I better enjoy this while I can before my Live account gets banned. Seriously, I think I will join the SDF just to fight the malicious activity of MS. Halo 3 has 4 player coop! You heard it here first! Take that Redmond!
