Well of course it is. Art is a matter of taste. As much as I love Halo I really dont see what is so fantastic about the "art style". I have been playing Halo 2 again and the games environments and textures repeat so much. It bores me to death running through the same corridors over and over. I hope they have over come this issue of repetition in Halo 3. I will be able to enjoy it so much more for it.

i never said that halo 3 looks bad ... i think you missed the entire purpose of my rant ...

as for "if you have a life you can afford the crysis upgrades", dude i have a life infact i have to look after 4 of them, yes i can afford the upgrades, but why should i for 1 single game that will probally suck gameplay wise.

Amen to that. Spending all that money for Crysis is way too big a risk I think. I'd understand if something like Mass Effect were pc only and someone decided they were going to pimp out their pc for that game, but Crysis? That's one monster of a gamble.

Then again people probably like what they've seen of Crysis and are convinced it'll be a great game so I'll respect that.

For those who already own the game, I've seen a "review" from a dev on the french forum. The guy claims halo3 is 60 fps with no AA at all ???
Has anyone ever read such a claim ? I'm really surprised !

But a lot of people see potential in Crysis. I for one think the gameplay looks great. Its the non linearity of Crysis that I look forward to. I think this has gotten out of hand though. Crysis really has nothing to do with Halo. 4 days !!!

I am now 2 levels past what has been shown of the campaign to date, and these are the levels I deliberately avoided playing at work so this is all new to me.

One level is by far the best demonstration of the Halo 3 lighting engine I've seen. There's no way they'll show it as it's spoiler-ish but it looks GORGEOUS. Later on you progress through an environment that will reminds me of Gears of War, if only briefly.

The level after that;-

OH. MY. GOD.

I'm playing on Heroic. It took me 1 hour 51 minutes to complete. After every epic battle (and there was one that took me 15 or so tries) there is another. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE IS MORE?! HOW IS THIS NOT THE CLIMAX TO THE LEVEL?!

It's no secret that Halo multiplayer maps are taken from areas in the campaign so this below is not a spoiler in my opinion. I now know why Sandtrap exists....

crysis does look amazing

but with halo 3 u will get an amazing feeling of accomplishment that crysis will not provide...i mean finishing the fight after so many years is gonna be great
