Don't get us wrong - we REALLY want you to play Spartan Ops with other people, it will be far more fun, with strategy and cooperation galore, but you can play just fine as a shut-in. I mean, singleton.
It's story related, so naturally it has my interest. Glad you aren't forced to play with other people just to take advantage of that mode.

@Optimus: I think the phrase your looking for is "I couldn't care less", not "I could care less". The latter is an Americanism that I've never understood.

On topic, however...

I have never really been a huge fan of Halo... Never bought the first two and naturally since I wasn't a fan before and since it was dated by the time I got a loan of it, Halo 3 didn't really impress me. Reach's Singleplayer and Multiplayer were both very entertaining (especially the multiplayer), so I'll probably enjoy this one if I pick it up.

BTW, Spartan Ops sounds really cool.

I dunno what it is... Just never really clicked to me. I feel like it's too late now to get find and play Halo's 1 and 2. I'm sure that they are great games, but I'm probably going to just hold out for Halo 4 since it begins a new trilogy.

In these cases people have tried to apply logic, and it has failed them. Attempts to be logical about I could care less also fail. Taken literally, if one could care less, then one must care at least a little, which is obviously the opposite of what is meant. It is so clearly logical nonsense that to condemn it for being so (as some commentators have done) misses the point. The intent is obviously sarcastic — the speaker is really saying, “As if there was something in the world that I care less about”.
It was mostly intended as a joke. And the proper phrase is indeed "I couldn't care less" as you have said. They shouldn't mean the same thing, but they technically have come to be improperly known as the same. What I did with the phrase was more an accepted form of slang than anything, and I do get the inconsistency, but that inconsistency also reveals my true intent. The addition of me kicking Phaethon in the shin was an attempt to get my not so serious, more sarcastic intent across. Phaethon is actually one of my more favorite people on this site, even if he is a Benedict Arnold (moderator :P) I kid! I kid! :D


LOL, szaromir, I never get tired of that gif. Believe it or not, I actually never truly became a proper Halo fan until a few months before Halo 3 was out. It stunned some people that I had never played Halo : Combat Evolved before, and so I decided to catch up on the franchise by playing the older games, reading the books etc. I was mostly a hardcore pc gamer (Counter-Strike 1.5/1.6 CS:Source blows, tempted by the new CS game, however) that would occasionally bust out the ps2 to play a newly released GTA game or play a brand new jrpg that caught my interest. I was never much a fan of the original Xbox. It's why I also missed games like the first Kotor, until after speaking with people on here I was convinced to give it a shot on the PC and absolutely loved it.

I don't know if that cover is legit, but reading the books the Chief will definitely be facing the Forerunners. They once (book spoilers coming) warred with and conquered humans centuries ago. They also wear armor similar to master chief and seem to have AI counterparts similar to Cortana. There are classes like Warriors (which might be their Elite equivalent)

The Chief will absolutely be facing Forerunners in Halo 4.

That cover would indicate that Master Builder Faber is the main antagonist, whereas I expected Didact. I'm kind of disappointed to be honest.

J madden, you can pick Halo 2 up for probably £2 halo CEA is now average £14.99 and halo 3 for £1:50 last i saw in game and reach for 14.99

and for that your getting 1 fantastic game 2 great games and 1 damn fine filler...

Wont take you 1 weekend to go full on and complete them all, your missing out.

the forum resizes them, i fail to see the issue. as for the comment itself. i like the look of them, but i've found them to be idiotic, comedy enemies that are about as intimidating as a kitten, and i hope for them to change them to fit what is looking to be a far more serious halo game (at least visually and stylistically)
