Has it beem mentioned by Frankie or anyone else if the Forerunner Trilogy will influence in some shape or form the new Recclaimer trilogy? I wouldn't mind some cameos really.

Also, very curious about the new terminals in Anniversary that will supposedly give you a couple of hints about Halo 4.

Flood will return i full expect it due to the way the story's are going (book wise) and i would not half expect to see some covenant appear, even if its just bands of rebels hunting down new tech for themselves.
Covenant will return for sure, no way 343i would put all that amazing work in Halo Reach by Bungie with Covenant's AI to waste and not reuse any of it. It's simply too good for game standards. I don't know what do you mean by "the way novel stories are going"? Halo Cryptum has heavy emphasis on Flood but it's expected due to, Ghosts of Onyx was focused only on the Covenant threat. Grasslands (GoO's sequel) is supposed to lay the ground for Halo 4 but it's not out yet, so we don't know where it's going.

Szaromir, yeah i was referring to the flood and there return, My thoughts is it will probably take the fight TO the flood, instead of waiting for there inevitable return, maybe not in 4-5 but 6 yes
chances are i am wrong but that's just how i feel.

As with ghosts of onyx, the covenant that attacked onyx were out the loop, they did not know whats going on back home (halo 3) but once it gets round to them all that the covenant is no more, they will no longer be a threat.. well they will and they wont.

Covenant need not be united after the events of Halo 3, some of them might ally with humans, some might still oppose them - kinda like in Halo 3 actually.

ooh HOW LONG!, long enough for everyone else to have grown old and died? or just a few years?
Would be a sad thing if it was too long though

But thinking logically it cant be THAT long or else Cortana would not of woke him up because she would technically fucking raving MAD! on the verge of madness already before the jump.

Nah i think its been hinted that although Cortana is approching her EOL, she is also the only AI to have been exposed to such an intense wealth of information, which could also have its own interesting effects and maybe add to her lifespan?

The guy is not the creative director- he was a Narrative designer. Josh Holmes is the CD, I highly doubt he was the only narrative designer either. He was also replaced (edit: nevermind, Troisi was hired back in March) by a guy who worked on Mass Effect 2. All the trolls think this means Halo 4 won't be good or innovative, when he could have wanted grunts with purple hair spouting psycho-babble for all we know (he did work on MGS 4, so you never know). All that talk about a billion people playing his game at the same time makes me think he's got delusions of grandeur and his exit comments were pretty self-serving (not that I blame him for looking out for himself).
I'll never understand trolls...

On another note- I've been playing through the Halo series again (just finished CE, now in the middle of 2, which I really like). I was struck again how much there is in the fiction that is only hinted at in the games. Here's hoping Halo 4 will up the ante on giving us the feel of books. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with John's character development, as I think there is a depth there that needs exploring... 'Did we win?'...

Yeah i read the Kokatu story, and thoes that actually read what he said instead of just the Headlines will know it was just a normal eveyday parting of ways. I mean he said "The Halo I wanted to build was fundamentally different and I don't think I had built enough credibility to see such a crazy endeavor through." So basically he did not get the green light to put in 1hr cutscenes lol... :)

On another note Frankie has mentioned that the books will tie into the games, in what way i'm unsure?

Just because these guy had some crazy ideas doesn't mean they were any good. Maybe if Frankie agreed to put "nanomachines" in everyother sentence in the script the guy would be more psyched about Halo 4 lol

I still follow kotaku, but the constant anti PC and anti ME2 articles or comments from writers piss me off. Gamersyde has more integrity in the forum than those "editors"

Back to this, yeah, I think halo is in good hands. you got lots of halo lovers working on it.
