Palmer is bad ass, but I don't like her lack of respect for Halsey, either. The rest are generic, but I kinda think that's the point. Palmer is clearly pretty important in the broader fiction.

I think people dont realize that the new spartans have been fed horror stories about Halsey, so they are bound to see her in a bad light, may be after some time and speaking with her original Spartans they may all come around.

Palmer really has some nerve disrespecting Halsey like that and even pointing a gun at her after Master Chief literally saved all of their asses from the Didact. They should treat Halsey with the expected respect that they would treat Master Chief. Anybody who was involved in the creation of the Master Chief has to be a tremendously impressive person worthy of respect.

Not really, if you had kids you may understand all the hate that Halsey received by her peers and by those that have just been told the story, imagine your kid being kidnapped and put through torture and hell, with only a 50% chance to make it through the training alive, then be put into a life and violence and suicide missions against there will, now add to that your kid that was stolen being replaced by a clone that you must watch die an awful slow death, due to the defunct clone Halsey has left you with, and you can most certainly see why there is so much hate towards this women, fuck the greater good.

When the Spartans can be credited with saving the entire human race, I'd be willing to overlook the fact the Spartans were kidnapped as children. It's the Spartan 3 Program folks that need to be hung out to dry. They crossed the line in far more ways than Halsey ever did. Those kids were sent to die, literally. Spartan IIs were treated like human beings. Spartan 3s were sent out like animals or cockroaches. Let's throw 300 more cockroaches at this suicide mission, and let's not bother to leave a ship behind for them, because we all know they're going to die.

It's funny that they are throwing the entire thing on Halsey when she had full authority by all the necessary players to do what she did. It's pretty bold of them to try and lay all the blame on her now.

There would be no such thing as humanity in the galaxy without Halsey's work. I guess it kinda also helps that, in the process of this activity, Halsey helped to set the stage for the next major stage in human evolution. Halsey knows that the Spartans are the next step in human evolution, the Librarian seems to know it, and the Didact sees it and also fears it as well. As more time passes and more events occur, they'll see just how much Halsey's work saved all their asses. Humanity would be up shits creek without that woman.

Forerunners, for example, seemed to live their entire lives mostly in their armor with an AI. It was pretty much like an extension of themselves.

After reading the Forerunner books, I think it's pretty obvious that Halsey is probably responding to a geas that has been programmed into her DNA. The Librarian pretty much admitted that Human evolution was essentially being time released.

They didn't use Peter Moore as a fall guy... He left for personal reasons related to his sick daughter. Really, he wasn't kicked out, pushed out, none of that. Steven Sinofsky of Microsoft. Now that's what you call an actual fall guy or an outright firing.

lol. Has any Halo MP ever had bugs like this? Or is this kind of thing par for the course in a Halo 360 release? I've so far seen two that really jump out at me. The super tiny enemies in MP, and now this one.

This won't help how crazy you folks think I am, but I think Cortana might become human. I'm not sure I entirely like it myself, but I just see some strong signs that it will happen. I'm feeling way too lazy to list all the proof that I'm confident I have to back this up, so I'll summarize. The Composer has two known capabilities, the ability to encrypt and turn organics such as humans or forerunners into machines, and it's also capable of the opposite, although it apparently has never been perfected, even by the forerunners. It was originally designed to preserve and save the forerunner civilization, to make them immortal. That was its purpose. For some odd reason, I can't bring myself to believe that this goal and ambition will have all been for nothing, that the only thing to have come out of this technology is that it was misused by the Didact and by Master Builder Faber. Why would we ever learn about this possibility for the Composer if we'll never be given an opportunity to watch it succeed at its most sought after capability? Yes, it was destroyed, but I don't think its secrets are destroyed for good, and I don't believe it's significance has now ended, either. I would probably prefer it didn't happen, due to the inevitable mass effect comparisons, and simply because I kinda hoped Cortana would become the Chief's Forerunner class AI, but somehow I see it being possible. I can't help thinking the Librarian did SOMETHING special to Cortana around the time she grabbed and isolated her from the Chief for a period of time. Why take Cortana like that at all? What's the point? What does the Librarian gain by doing things the way she did?

The simple explanation? She simply wanted to ensure the Chief would enter the room that he was obviously being led to, so that he could speak to her. But then, wasn't the Chief already clearly following the pathways where those sentinels led him? Perhaps going from organic life to ai/machine, and then back to organic again is impossible, but what about a rare case example such as Cortana? Halsey created Cortana from her own brain, the only such AI like that in all of humanity. Cortana, for better or worse, has legitimate roots in humanity, she was simply never organic. Maybe Cortana's being such a rare case for a human created AI might allow the pure data to organic transfer to actually work?

Just a thought. Crazy as fuck I know.
