Grift - Battlefield 2142, Quake Wars are almost considered as sci-fi shooters. GRAW is couple of years in the future with advanced weapons.
That's why i said near to far future. Despite being Sci-fi, those games aren't run and gun games but are more like tactical war games. Frontlines is near future like GRAW.

Wolf is going to own, I hope. Can't wait to see some real information on Wolfenstein 360.

Well got to admit this game looks good from a graphic perspective... congrats to midway, GL on game.

EDIT: MY bad, this game LOOKS AMAZING. i just watched the screens a few more times. makes all the other ww2 shooters look bad. look at the pretty explosions and the texture quality. hope it has 4 players local. i miss playing with my friends in the same room.

Yet another UE3 shooter, so it's really no suprise that it looks good, but the developer is cause enough to avoid the hype. Hopefully it turns out well though, regardless, there's no shortage of FPS this year. This game sits with some pretty heavy competition.

Non the less, WW2 games are boring in my opinion because they are running out of ideas, but they are showing you the same thing in different ways.

Well I'm not sure that's true (no fresh ideas since Wolfenstien?) but it wasn't sarcasm. I didn't say they would never run out of GOOD ideas or FRESH ideas--just that they would never run out of ideas.

I'm not sure I understand..I was just saying that they whole, future war thing is being done by a lot of developers. It's not like WW2 games are the only FPS being made. Every shooter can go in its own way though, because you can chose how to play? What does that mean exactly?

Blue Dragon is an unimaginative JRPG featuring a myriad of JRPG cliches and very redundant looking characters. To even call this game "original" in any way is an insult to every great JRPG made.......all 4 of 'em......

I think that one of the things that makes WW2 shooters feel very repetitive and old is the weapons. The problem is that most of the games use the same weapons and that is one of the things that sci fi shooters push. Its cool when you play a new game and it has this wicked crazy weapon that you could never have imagined. Thats fresh. And it keeps the genre fresh. Clearly here they are trying to keep the WW2 FPS genre "fresh" by allowing you to play as 3 distinctive characters but who knows how well that will work. I for one am not excited in anyway about this game.

That and the scenery and character designs. This seriously looks like CoD2 to me, so I don't really see the point in playing it.

But the bottom line is, games like this will continue to be made as long as they are profitable.
