Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)

I'll find out myself later today who is being honest or who is being overly critical.
I haven't been in any combat though. People were complaining that the missiles were boring and that it would be more fun for it to have a devastating primary beam gun like the Normandy has it (the Thanix), which needs to be recharged though.

Compared to the Mako, the Hammerhead's controls and mission mechanics are are terribly linear. For example, you just can't pop out of the HH at anytime like you could with the Mako, those times are fixed and designated. That should tell you right there that exploration is no longer an element Bioware seems concerned with in the ME universe. And because Firewalker plays like such a separate experience from the main game, it comes off more as an unsatisfying distraction then an enhancement/add on. The maneuvering and jumping dynamics of the HH are more in line with a platform racer like WipeOut or Mario than say a combat vehicle like those you find in Halo. Specifically spots on one mission that curiously function just like power-up checkpoints and other times jumping and hovering over highlighted positions for resources etc.
If you didn't know better, at times you could swear that the HH was stuck in a pinball machine. And that's no exaggeration.
The HH itself looks okay as a combat vehicle, but it's nowhere near as tough as the Mako was. The HH can be taken down by shots that my Shepard would shrug off in a gunfight. I found it was best to keep a good amount of space between the HH and it's foes, choosing instead to work them over from a distance. Missiles that home in on a target sounds like a nifty concept, but the HH's missiles fly wherever hell they want to go. Button mashing aided me in ensuring that my missiles eventually were forced to hit something I actually aimed for.
Want to know how tacked on and cheap a job Bioware did with the HH? They didn't even bother to create a HUD for this thing, that is just plain LAZY or they just DIDN'T CARE. There's honestly nothing to talk about with Firewalker's plot (if you can call it a plot), it's both unremarkable and anti-climactic.
Overall, Firewalker isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it isn't a joy to play either.
