Let's see. For starters, it's based on a series of fairly poorly written novels aimed at tweens and fat/ugly/lonely women featuring a whole lot of emo-y angst. It's directed by a woman, and said women has very little directing experience. And that's what someone would know without seeing it and is enough to write it off.
Actually watching the movie exposes the viewer to a bunch of clichéd, overly juvenile dialogue and horrible special effects.
For someone to think it was even ok...he would have to be devoid of even the slightest discriminating taste.
You can dream all you want, kid, but it won't do any good 'cause when you wake up again you'll realize nothing has changed.
I don't expect all the movies I watch to be perfect quality through and through, but I do hope that aspects are well done...be it the comedy, action, acting, cinematography, etc... I watch and enjoy plenty of shitty movies, but they usually have some redeeming qualities and I can acknowledge that they are shitty. I simply felt Twilight lacked in pretty much every area possible. Since it was made for twelve year old girls though, it can unfortunately get away with being a shitty movie.

Anyway, I watched Kingdom of the Crystal Skull a couple days ago and I found that it isn't as bad as a lot of reviewers made it out to be.
Sure, it isn't as great as the first one, but it's definitely a better movie than Temple of Doom.
If I put them in a list from best to worst:
1) Raiders of the Lost Ark
2) The Last Crusade
3) Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
4) Temple of Doom
All in all it was pretty entertaining but I did feel it may have been trying to hard to be an Indiana Jones film, which it shouldn't need to.
I mean, there were too many throwbacks and some failed attempts at what some of the other movies already did well. The script was just kinda splotchy.
That holds it back, but I still had a good time.
I could go on and on, but I'd just bore myself.

Also wtf @ getting married. Fuck that
I saw Kungfu Panda. Awesome movie. Was pretty funny but the choreography was amazing and the visuals were equally as impressive. Definitely one of my top movies visually on Blu-ray.
Saw Bolt too. There's a reason I like Dreamworks more nowwadays. Pixar has that "aww" and charm to it, but Dreamworks has some subtle adult only humor. That Hamster was pretty funny though. Damn stupid concept though, a dog that thinks it has powers? Really?

God that movie got me big time.

The Rock
Edit: oh not sure if I mentioned this earlier but Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Yesterday I watched Shanghai Noon. I really like it. Today I'll watch Lord of War, I have watched it before and if I remember right it was pretty good.
Also in the last months I watched X-files seasons 1&2. Almost forgot Battlestar Galactica season 1.
