ridley scott has turned it into a different movie, its no longer a alien flick, well its a alien scfi flick, but nothing to do with that, he said it ended up being not what he wanted, kinda imagine how resi 4 came to be devil may cry.

yeah its going ahead but its NOT a alien prequel or movie what so ever, he said "you will see alien elements from it, due to the original script, but as far as it goes that is all they will have in common"

In all fairness though, lets say if it is a alien preqal it wont have the alien we know and love, because humans would not be in it (technically) and the version of the alien would change (see predator hybrid, dog hybrids)

and as you can see from the casting, there are humans..

I think it will focus on the Space Jockeys and where humans got faster than light travel from. At the end an alien egg or facehugger will be shown. Maybe first finding stuff on earth (under one of the poles) that indicates intelligent alien life and then finding some more stuff on a planet inside or just outside of our solar system.. Also showing that the Weyland Yutani company finds this stuff, etc, etc...

This will keep the entire movie fresh and have a decent tie in with the alien universe..

For what is was, I liked Alien 3. Just pretty hard dealing with the fact that there's just one alien after they slaughtered hundreds in Aliens. That and it didn't have any of the suspense of the first. So it's really an Alien film that did nothing the predecessors did. Alien Resurrection was just fucking absurd. Nothing redeeming about it. Ripley breeds with the Queen and makes a retarded alien? GTFO.

The biggest problem with Alien 3 is how it throws everything about Aliens into a blender.. in like.. the first few minutes of the film. As a stand alone thing it easily blows Resurrection out of the water.

What a terrible movie.

oh watched dead snow last night, started off well but went to comedy for my liking i was hoping for a decent horror horror :( still good flick, just not what i wanted will watch Nosferatu tonight.. and i am pretty sure that i spelled that completely wrong lol

Dead Snow is good... If your looking for Nazi Zombies, you should go for The Outpost (Okay, Nazi Ghosty-zombies).

I seen True Grit (remake) and Real Steel yesterday... They both exceeded my expectations. Gonna watch something tonight... Not sure what. I did get Thor for DVD but it is about 12:37pm. Too late to start watching a long movie like Thor( as much as I wanna see it, it looks good) , but maybe some Ren and Stimpy'll do ;)

I've been on a long horror kick lately (most of my life) but was holding off on Dead Snow, because, isn't it English subtitled?
I have to gear up for those a lot of the time.

How much dialog is there?

Manny hit me at about the right time with Troll Hunter, which was REALLY good.

it starts with lots of dialogue plumb, but come half way through there is barley any speech, its a good flick, just not what i wanted at the time.
