NG is pretty much out of place of being ninja at all. It has ninja elements and japanese oriental stuff going on, but its definitely not a true ninja style where potential is not there.
Its a ninja take but overdosed and extremely fictional where they could do whatever.
I honestly say it looks awesome, but I will always prefer CLOTHING more than anything else, and thats outfits like Ryuken, white outfit (NGS2 DLC) or clothing in general you see in most of these typical games.

Ninjas dont use big swords, not even a katana, technically, nor a scythe.
This game is heavily fictional and besides, its just a outfit and its unlockable, I dont see much problem with it if its there as a option really.
Besides, its like how Master Chief outfit went to Fable 2, or why did Krato's weapon and armor in Heavenly Sword appear? or why was Ryu Hauabusa redesigned as a armor for Halo?
Its just an option for those who likes a particular look from another game to be used in their favorite game.
Considering its Tecmo Koei now they decided to lend eachother their designs for FUN

Since 6663 DaysAnyways, this will always be my top outfit of choice for sure, will probably use it 90% of the time with some Ashtar, Ryuken and DW outfit outfit switch here and there.
