I totally expect to be able to play the first night. At 7:00pm.

Every single beta launch has been smooth as butter. There will be fewer people playing on day one than played the open beta.

Any less and they dropped the ball.

Prepare to be upset. Assume the worst with Blizzard game launches, always. Maybe they'll nail it this time, but I doubt it.

I'm just warning everyone ahead of time, they might be fine. Just isn't the case with most of their game launches.

How often does Blizzard launch new games? Are you basing this off of one game? HoTS I guess? I played Diablo 3 the day it came out too. There were server issues but it was completely playable. I think you're being hyperbolic.

We're totally playing Monday.

Clueless Gamer is better when it's his production buddy and not random celebrities.

This thread is already eight pages long and we haven't even launched yet. Hopefully people continue to enjoy it for some time.

I'm talking about every single WoW expansion ever, and trust me, Diablo 3 literally didn't work the entire launch day on PC. I remember it fondly, we had a 6 person LAN party set up for launch night and didn't get to play a single minute and ended up just getting drunk. Good times.

Blizzard's servers are pretty notorious for not handling the initial surge on day 1. If we aren't all playing with 400 ping I'll be a happy man.

Like I said, this is just a warning that it could be a big clusterfuck tomorrow evening. Maybe it'll be smooth, I just wouldn't count on it or anything.

As if your link says the game "literally didn't work the entire launch day." Some people were playing Diablo on launch day. I played Diablo 3 at launch with several other people. Yes we saw login errors. Yes we still played the game. We weren't all trying to login from a single IP address though. That may have compounded your problems.

I think you're moving the goalposts. We've gone from "you won't be playing it Monday" to "it might have issues". Assuming nothing is a good position. I agree.. so I won't assume that it ships busted :)

Edit: I won't assume a DDoS attack is out of the quetion either :D

We'll have at least 2/3rd of the 6thAD wrecking crew on tonight. I wish I could get Tre to TRY Overwatch. He literally doesn't know what he's missing. And who knows if Medic will play. He said "I can't get into these cartoony games" prior to playing the open beta more than any of us.
