Producer is Greg Kesavin, former gamespot editor!!!!! The only reason I used to visit gamespot!

Anyway, the game is looking brilliant. This may be a sleeper hit!

Dont you just love him ? Watch the video and see how Honest he is about the fact that they are borrowing ideas from other games, something you dont see a lot of developers do.

He seems so confused or very nervous compared to the other guy when talking, I dont remember that in his time when doing reviews.

But Greg was the guy who convinced me to buy Ninja Gaiden on xbox with his reviews, thx!

About Spec Ops...the sand and dynamic changes seems interesting.

man, the visuals looks kinda dissapointing in those screenshots. hopefully it's just a case of a game not looking as good in stills as it does in motion, becasue the trailer was probably the best thing out of the VGA's. lets hope it lives up to it.

I like Kasavin, but man, this is a straight off gears clone without all the great things that make Gears awesome. I think the sand portion of the game is going to come off as a feature no one really cares about, or won't simply work as intended.

after watching the gamespot interview, i'm with you on that. it's kinda giving me terminator salvation/kill.switch vibes now, which isnt great. a demo is certainly needed

the video also made me remember how much i hated kasavin. his voice grates on me like nothing else.

Ah, I've heard that one before, so no need to document. I disliked that fool as well, but he's been behaving lately, and I've liked some of the stuff I see at GiantBomb.

I love Kasavin, and I'm pretty fond of Jeff too. The thing about Gestmann is that I can totally understand how some people might not like him. I think he's pretty funny though.

Kasavin was the best person at Gamespot, he made great video reviews for 3rd person action games.
He was the one who convinced me to buy Ninja Gaiden on Xbox now matter what with his awesome video review (even though I already decided to buy it before I saw it).

However, in this interview, he sounds so nervous, alot of pauses and "ehm, uh"...etc. I dont remember him being like this.

I remember when Kasavin gave MGS3 a less than AAA score and all the Sony kids started hating him to death. Jeff got the same treatment for what he did to twilight princess if memory serves me correct.

I think that while neither one of them will ever be the most charming or charismatic people on the net, they usually at least find a way to express and defend their opinions on games far better than just about anyone I see posting on this site or most others. So I cut them a break b/c they are at least clever people who know what they are talking about, even if one doesn't agree with everything they say.

I think Greg's reviews were usually some of the most well written/scored reviews I have read. I had a lot more respect for his work in the PS2/xbox era than most of the crap reviews gamespot and all other sites have been putting out this gen.

I agree on that. I also agreed with Kasavin on MGS3. MGS3 is in no way a AAA title in my eyes (and so is MGS4 but that's another story).

That dev diary type thingy was disappointing.

They talked about the great sand features, but only showed a cut scene featuring a sand storm.
Granted it was a sand storm to end all sand storms, but nowhere did they show sand being utilized in gameplay.

They showed that in the VGA trailer. Felt more like a scripted sequence and very gimmicky, but there you go.
