Since 6160 DaysThe story was good for Sam's personal stuff but still a little iffy on the poltical side, but all in all I was pretty impressed by the new direction and think it set the groundwork for what could be a really great sequal to this new take on the franchise.

Since 6700 DaysThe overall story and character work was again on a level I wasn't expecting from a splinter cell game. I don't think even the most hardcore splinter cell fans expected a game as thoroughly rock solid as this. It isn't often a dev takes a risk this big, and it pays off in spades.
Don't even get me started on how the story of the game, or Sam's mood at the time, impacted the gameplay mechanics ;)
