Believe me when I say VS mode would be amazing and it would work.

How do you think tutorial is done :P

It begins with you fighting Dante in the beginning of the game.
So that alone should be offloine or online VS mode.

Would be cool to choose from a few different levels and then choose characters in the lobby and go for it.

Although the choosing would be weird considering Dante go more styles and all and they want to be him.
Unless its random character system like MK with the question mark.

Overrated. The 7.5 is just about right.

The graphics are really good in this game though.

Love the game, very cool. Using the devil bringer makes the combat far more visceral.

I just don`t `get` the whole dmc thing I`m afraid. It just seems shit. Say what you like, but after watching ManThatYouFear play the demo on the ps3, any ounce of me `wanting` or even `considering` to buy this game has just gone out of the window I`m afraid. I just didn`t feel compelled to even pick up the pad.......just couldn`t be arsed and thought "Meh, it`s ok I suppose".

It`s just typical of Capcom too that you can`t interact with much (if any) of the background. Sorry again, but like I said, "I just don`t get it I`m afraid".

It just seems to have come at a bad time too, as I`m playing so many other titles.
I loved the first dmc game with it`s great metal-based music and solid action etc, but I`m fed up with people saying things like "Wow, how cool", as Dante (or whatever his bloody name is), surfs around on an enemys corpse, shouting things like: "Eat this!" or "Take that!". Just seems to have gone beyond the boundry of cool and is filtering into the realm of utter fuck1ng cheese !!!.

Plus I`m in a foul mood too, so that doesn`t help things either!!!.

frosty: It's all about the kick-ass action! Okay, so the demo was rather lame since it was WAY too easy but i wager that the full version will be more challenging as it will probably feature different difficulty levels. DMC is all about kicking ass in long cool combos. And if you like the over-the-top cut scenes that's just a bonus. Even though this game didn't match your taste. It's still a good game :)

I absolutely ENVY the bastards who play Ninja Gaiden and DMC like this...teach me oh great ones, teach me!

I wasn't too big on the game initially, but I got really interested in playing more of it and the boss fight I did have was very fun :)

I love the cutscenes, the game looks SURPRISINGLY awesome graphically. A lot better than I anticipated. I started doing some much more amazing combos later on and the devil bringer enables some pretty awesome combos.

Okay... that guy totally owns me at DMC4 sath. He makes me look like a total scrub. Incredible.

That guy is crazy for sure, the demo just came out and he can rev up Neros sword everytime!

Man as Dante, I didn't know what was going on.

I can't wait for some hardcore player play as Dante in DMC4 or Ryu in NG2, that would make me melt of envyness.

Sath: take heed to my wisdom! If you wish to be so great as to play DMC on DMD mode whilst sleeping thou must dumpeth thy girlfriend, have no job and spend all of thine time playing DMC! Really, these guys just have way too much free time on their hands ;)

Megido...I have no girlfriend (I wish i had, boobies :P), I have no full time job, and I spend somewhat all my time on games.

I think it is my natural gift to be bad compared to them. I see myself as a great DMC/NG player, but incredible...no.

Sath: So get a job and a girlfriend and forget about mastery of DMC then :D

By the way, how does the revving work? I mean, the way he did it in the video, i didn't even know it was possible to charge while hitting enemies.

Megido - After each slash, you gotta time it, you gotta know when the animation starts and ends each time. You gotta rev it up almost near the end of the slash animation.

When you push the slash button ones, its like 1-2 seconds after it, but it all depends how fast you want to slash and what kind of attacks you want to go by.

So it all depends on timing right before the end of the attack animation.

Sath: ah, then i'll get right on that as soon as i get home from work. It can't be THAT hard to do it consistently, can it? :P

Megido - You can do it a few times, but its very very hard to do it at will anytime and in any order as that guy.

I for one try to charge it in every of my attacks, either it works or it wont.

Sath: i've tried it a bit now and i must say that it's not all THAT hard to do, it just takes a wee bit of practice. And i think you've got it wrong. The way i time it (and getting pretty consistent result with) is just when the attack hits the opponent. There's a little flash of light just when the sword and the enemy connects, that's when you push the trigger down for a charge up. Now some attacks are harder to time than others and i can't just go revving through a whole combo, but like said, i think i'm getting pretty good results. I rev through a regular standing combo with relative ease anyways.

I always take EGM's ratings with a grain of salt.

Megido - I know its not that hard, it took me a few tries. It depends how much of a fast learner you are.

But I will definitely try your way and see how that is, if it works better for me thenthank you. If not, then I will just do my way. ;)

Okay I tried the revving it up when the sword hits the enemy...damn it works :P
So now I have to practice on timing each hit. The aerial attacks are hard to do, but I will work on.
