Great interview with Todd Howard. Interesting position they're taking on showing the console version. Interesting because it's the exact opposite approach EA/DICE are taking :D

Can't wait to see this thing in its full glory! And modded!

edit: Interesting to know that pc mods actually work on Morrowind/Oblivion/FO3 etc on dev kids :D

That was an awesome interview. The guy had quite obviously paid attention to past interviews, because he attempted to ask questions that hadn't already been answered by Todd a gazillion times.

Hmm, combat looks a lot like Oblivion, which is not good in my book.

Not to say i didnt enjoy the game, i much did, except the combat.
I think a better over the shoulder cam could fix it.
And fix the bow, felt so clunky to use

They should a nice third person camera attack animation, I thought it was very nice.

Kinda the third-person shooter cam that a lot of games use....where the character is off-center and all of his lower body isn't shown? I think that as an option would at least be good.

I'd like some bow-specific skills or something.

Didn't they already say that the bow is balanced for power draws now, rather than plinking away health with rapid fire shots. I'd like to see a few perks for it though, heart shots, lung collapsing (like in Deadly Reflex) and maybe crippling shots to the legs.

The bow will take longer to draw back and shoot, but the damage dealt will be much higher. Todd said that they took a lot of inspiration from one of the most popular Oblivion mods which addressed the issue of bows.

Some bow-related perks have already been witnessed as well. One allows you to zoom in up close and personal, while another slows down time whilst you aim I think?

Been playing Oblivion in the last few days, I like alot...much more than my first time (launch).
I think the reason why I like it more now and can manage to play it is since then I been playing various RPGs so my knowledge for the genre has increased to the point I know what to do...etc.

That being said, I am so much into fantasy mood I wanted to play something, and since I am playing Oblivion I do NOT mind the combat.
Its good enough to make it playable and fun.

Now, to Skyrim.

I want it now! lol

After playing hours of Oblivion, I decided to check Skyrim walkthrough and trailer, I cant wait anymore.
The art,, music, gameplay is so damn awesome in that game I want it so much.

Comparing the melee combat, its the same, with hit detection and all, so I dont mind.
I said it before too, if I can manage Oblivion I can manage Skyrim, so I am glad I can enjoy Skyrim.

My wanted title of 2011 for me is definitely Skyrim!

I just hope they make a better character customization feature on the face and add some real beards (not super exagerated like DA2).

Anyways, can't wait for Skyrim!

Yeah, I got turned into a vampire once in Oblivion too, and it sucked. There weren't any really cool benefits to it either (that might make it worth it), and the process for curing yourself is a massive pain in the ass...

Considering I hated being a vampire and have no patience for that, I had to use a command line to remove it lol

But I hope Skyrim doesnt have it.

One thing I enjoy to use in Oblivion is to bring out the torch and see the bright light during the night.

I just cant stop playing Oblivion, guess my knowledge for RPGs games and to like them in recent years has done me good, enough to enjoy Oblivion.
I want Skyrim so much its not funny!

I hope my Pc can run Skyrim good enough and I hope they use native 360 controller support for it, then I am definitely getting it on PC, if not...PS3 version it is.

I hope Skyrim has this beardstyle http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2009/news/091116/... but a few inches shorter lol
Fits good for the fantasy norse style lol
