Sinon j'ai fini par voir Crimson Peak de Del Toro. Je dis "fini par voir" car je sentais bien qu'en allant le voir en salle j'aurais regretté le prix de ma place. Le film confirme que Del Toro traverse depuis quelques années une période assez peu excitante sur le plan artistique, en se contentant d'emballer des films qui misent tout sur la surcharge visuelle. Même les acteurs, pourtant bons, semblent engoncés dans leurs costumes et leurs rôles écrits sans panache.
Del Toro a beau lorgner du côté de la Hammer, il manque à son long métrage ce grain de folie, cet érotisme trouble qui faisait le sel de l'épouvante à l'anglaise.
Pour citer un critique à propos, je crois, du Stardust de Matthew Vaughn sorti il y a quelques années: "Encore un film tué par son décorateur." ^_^'
Qu'est-ce qu'on peut faire qui t'obligerait?
