I want to live like this mysterious ranger with a wolf-look dog that is trained to scout, kill and fetch, and by fetch I my enemies weapon, muahaha.

I want to be like someone cool form The Brotherhood of the Wold. Long dark coat, piare like hat, scarf, gloves, dark pants, pistols, rifles and Rapier.

Damn that looks mighty great!

Look at the second picture...that's somewhat what I had in my mind. Kind of like when Aragorn was sitting in Prancing Pony in LOTR smoking his pipe and his hood was covering his face, and then sitting in a corner.

That is how I want mine to be.

Whoa I restarted the video from the beginning to show a friend I had no idea Peter showed that at the end... that looks incredible!

Bowerstone looks great.. awesome shadows, love the lighting and he's still expecting more improvements :)

Damn I thought he said "Bastow" haha, but then when I checked the soundtrack list and when guys said kept saying "Bowerstone" my memories came back.

Anyway, yeah Op I loved the lighting and shows in the forest. But heres the thing, why ignore such beauty when it already looks this good in early built. We understand it is early, but yet it looks good for such a stage.

Now think about how it looks when it is done.
When I am looking at the latest GDC images I can't think of how much amazing visuals we are gonna see in Fable 2.

For example seeing that CGI in the very beginning of the trailer when those fireflies flies to the little girl, but the camera shows a very big atmosphere and climax of the curved design of the mountains, it gets my throat dry and my heart go crazy when we see that in-game engine when it is done.

With these kind of titles, no wonder I picked up the 360 in the first place.

Fable 2, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Halo 3, Dark Sector, Assassin's Creed, Knights of the Old Republic III (hopefully), Ninja Gaiden 2...etc. just titles to mention the great library for the 360.

One thing no-ones mentioned yet is that it looks like it's going for a more open level design (like Oblivion) rather than the confined 'paths' of Fable 1

No one knows, Peter haven't mentioned anything about "go where ever you please".

In Fable some parts was not confined, but it was mostly in the villages and town and so on.

I do hope it's more like Oblivion, but not in a such a big range of freedom. I do not want to go into forest up in the mountains that leads no where and I lost like 1-3 hours of gaming time to see how big Fable is.

I figured someone would've noticed a major hint in this video about a person tossing a ball off a cliff and the dog would go jumping off.

That means even you could fall off. In the IGN preview it said that Molyneux estimated if you choose to rush through the game as fast as possible you could possibly beat it in 12 hours. I'm sure I'm going to take far longer than that to beat the game and I really respect what Peter Moore said.

Lionhead wants to try to innovate and the company wasn't made to simply make games better by just making everything bigger and add larger numbers of things. I think this whole dog idea is an impressive thing. If you are hurt the dog sticks closer to you if you are perfectly fine he'll track a bit ahead of you. The dog itself is like your hp bar.

Properly sticking next to you in a town or something. Or being able to coerce you to checkout other areas, able to dig up stuff you might find to be of interest. Changing his behavior in new areas charging further ahead to make sure theres no danger. Being able to leave the dog far behind and he'll still attempt to come back and find you. Great stuff I can't wait for this game. Loved the first one can't wait for the sequel.

That injured dog part got me :(

I have a dog, I could never imagine doing that to him. Yup, Fable 2 is shaping up to be something special from this video.

Oh dawg, don'cha know?

http://www.lionhead.com/news/community32k6.html

One of the areas Charlton showed me was [CENSORwood], only one of the many areas in Fable 2. For those of you, who played Fable 1, think of all the Greatwood regions, add them together and you come close to the size of [CENSORwood], and mind you this is only one region! Since we are planning to allow players to leap off cliffs for example, we have to be extra cautious with the design, as every effort has to be made to make sure that players don't get stuck.

Yea you're right kenshin I actually felt sorry for the dog there. If I couldn't heal him I'd be sticking really close to him moving at his pace to make sure he's okay until I got the chance to heal him.

Ahhh there we go raz nice find :)

I also know not many games will do this and I don't mind, but I agree totally with what Peter said why go through the trouble of building such a beautiful world if people can navigate it via some minimap. The dog thing is a really great idea. It sounds simple at first, but there are many possibilities for it.

Hmm, only thing I can say, is check your version of real player to see if it is up to date. I don't have RP myself, so I can't be that much help. Sorry

or try using the media player function instead of the RP one.

So if your wife leaves you for your neighbor you can jump off a cliff and kill yourself.I wonder if you can put a leash on the dog and tie him up to a tree while its raining outside and look at him go crazy.

Hello, Kenshin2418. If you are so sick then why do I have so many photos of you up and about? Let's put your so called "illness" to the test. Right now, there's a slow acting poison in your veins. The antidote is inside the safe - the combination to the safe is written on the wall. Hurry up and program it in but watch your step.

[Kenshin2418 steps on one of the many pieces of broken glass scattered on the floor]

By the way, that's a flammable substance smeared on your body, so I would be careful with that candle if I were you... or all the people you've burned with your act just might have their revenge.

hahaha, yup you need to do a casting call for the role:P

Also, not to totally get off topic, I wonder if you can be a bounty hunter in Fable 2, and have your dog track down your targets and what not?
