First title from Creative Assembly's new badge for key-history-moments-focsued titles, A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia is out today on Steam. The game devles in the turbulent times following Alfred the Great's victory over the Viking in 878 AD. To celebrate the launch, in partnership with Osprey Publishing, the studio offers to new and existing Total War Access members a free ebook copy of Viking Warrior Versus Anglo-Saxon Warrior (England 865 - 1066) by Gareth Williams.

Thrones of Britannia releases April 19

Before the next main Total War game hits in late 2018, The Creative Assembly will launch on April 19 the first title from its new Saga badge. Instead of focusing on a whole historical era, A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia deals with a crucial moment/period, here King Alfred of Wessex and other ambitious kings. Pre-orders are live and the studio will donate 25% of their profit from every pre-sale to War Child UK.
