GSY Retro PC Xbox 360 PS3

When Crysis was originally released back in November 2007, the PCs capable of running it perfectly had not been invented yet. Even so, journalists and gamers alike were blown away by its realistic visuals, which can easily be understood when you see the game today. Indeed, even 7 years later, Crytek's title in its vanilla state (meaning its original version without mods) is still impressive, and it's a lot smoother too (though framerate isn't capable of holiding a steady 60 fps yet when fully maxed out). Check out our two videos inside, the first ever 1080p/60fps Crysis footage on Gamersyde.

First 10 minutes PC Xbox 360 PS3

As you all know, Crytek decided to finally release Crysis on consoles and the game is now available to all 360 and PS3 owners for $19.99/€19.99. A friend of mine did not resist the temptation and bought the 360 version, so I asked him to come over so I could capture the first 20 minutes of the game. Beware though, the first video is rather small (because it takes place at night) but you'll need extra bandwidth for the second one for sure. As a bonus, I also captured a few extracts from the good old PC version so you can have a 1080p video in 30 fps. If you compare all versions, you will have to admit that, even though the PC version is the best, Crytek did a very good job with the console port.

KORNdog Its also making Netflix look like cheap arses. HBO look like they're throwing big money at their shows and then there's Netflix chucking a tenner at something and hoping it stretches to 10 episodes. (1 Day ago)

  • KORNdog

KORNdog I mean, I want to say it could have just been a bad trailer. But with that much cringy dialogue and acting it's hard to see it being presented any better (1 Day ago)
