Before Daymare: 1998 became an official game, it was meant to be a free remake of Resident Evil 2, which explains why it looks so Resident Eviley. From the inventory system to the gameplay itself, the similarities with what Capcom achieved with their official remake is somewhat uncanny. Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is actually a prequel to 1998 and it's planned for a 2023 release. We were given access to a new demo that we are now allowed to share so enjoy the video.
