After the PC version, it is time for our Xbox One videos of Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition, thanks to the code the Xbox Network sent us. Because The Following is not advised to players under level 12 and we didn't play the game on Xbox One last year, we were only able to capture the very beginning of the DLC. That being said, since it is called Enhanced Edition, we also took the liberty to record some gameplay footage of the original adventure for those wanting to spot the few differences with last year's release.

Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition is not particularly different from the original game, but the new location and the buggy are two good reasons to give it a try if you enjoyed Dying Light last year. Here are two new gameplay videos showing two side missions in the beginning of the adventure. Side missions are important because they allow you to imrpove the trust level of the locals, which is the only way to progress in the main campaign.

Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition being available since yesterday, we can now propose a few gameplay videos from the final version. If you have already watched our preview footage, there shouldn't be anything especially new here, aside maybe from our buggy footage, but we'll add more extracts as soon as possible.

The 4v1 online mode Be the Zombie returns in Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition and this time it's much more dynamic and violent thanks to the addition of the weaponized buggies and the new map. The title is coming in early next week, in the meantime you can check our preview videos.

GSY Preview PC PS4 Xbox One

We have been given acces to the preview build of Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition, whose final version will be released next week on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. We only launched the very beginning of the small part available in the preview and we can only say the game still looks very good. The new area in which the story is set is a lot more rural and it encourages you to use a buggy to fully explore the world. The handling seems to be pretty good from what we've seen, especially compared with other first person titles featuring vehicles, and the possibility to upgrade it should be interesting. There is a good chance that none of the following videos will be anyhting new since many walkthroughs of the preview build have been posted on the internet already, but you've probably never seen them in such good quality. Enjoy!

The title will be out on February 9.

toelessfoot Right. I think programmable shaders were adopted fairly early on consoles (xbox360/ps3) (2 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Well, only recently they have been. I think this is the first gen I've seen where PC's are playing catch up. Not through hardware power, but through development cycles (2 Days ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Yeah I think innovations on the console side are taken up more quickly by PC than vice versa because consoles are really lead platform for everything (2 Days ago)

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (3 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (3 Days ago)

MrWhite If a game is built from the ground up to take advantage of that, though... (3 Days ago)
