GSY Video PS4 Xbox One PC

Fade to Silence was released in its final version a little while ago but we couldn't find the time to cover it before today. In case you were curious to see if anything has changed since the last time we posted our own footage, here is a couple of videos of the game running on PC. Sadly, combat has not been improved since the early access and the game is still quite repetitive.

After more than a year in early access, survival game Fade to Silence will launch April 30th. If you need to learn what the game is about, the latest video is for you.

Trailer PC

Still in early access, the lovecratian survival RPG Fade to Silence from Black Forest Games shows new story-related footage in this new trailer.

Fade to Silence has been available as an Early Access title for almost 3 months and we've been meaning to give the game some coverage ever since it came out. The problem is that it performed so badly on our GTX 1080 that we decided to wait a few patches. Alas, things haven't changed much as even our GTX 1080 Ti struggles to maintain a steady 60 fps framerate, which wouldn't be an issue if it didn't make fighting the evil creatures so cumbersome. The performance issues are not only to blame though, as the combat system is too slow and awkward for its own good in our opinion. The promise of a game mixing a Dark Souls approach to survival mechanics is quite appealing, but for now, it is not convincing enough for us to advise you to put your money down.

We finally grabbed a good quality version of the trailer of Fade to Silence, the upcoming survival game from THQ Nordic and its studio Black Forest Games that was revealed during The Game Awards. The title, in development for PC and consoles, will hit Steam Early Access on December 14. The character-driven title is set in a post-apocalyptic world with an unceasing winter and asks you to withstand the environments, eldritch monsters, and your own madness.
