How strange it is to see the names of Turn 10, Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios when launching a game on a PlayStation console. We may have already seen Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush and The Pentiment on PS5, but Forza Horizon 5, the latest installment in a franchise historically attached to Xbox and Microsoft, really feels like a milestone. Of course, this PS5 port comes four years after the original release on Xbox and PC, but we'd be lying to you if we said it didn't feel a bit strange. Since you're probably already familiar with all the game's strengths, a full review did not seem essential, but we still invite you to give us a few minutes of your time to read what we thought of the port. The second big extension for Forza Horizon 5 has now been confirmed by Microsoft and Xbox so we now know that we're about to discover a brand new location including different biomes where we can test our skills in rally races with tricky turns and crazy jumps. This new DLC will come out on March 29 so we won't have to wait for long before giving it a try.

Just like its predecessor, Forza Horizon 5 will get a Hotwheels DLC which will undoubtedly hurt Milestone's own Hotwheels game. A trailer was released yesterday, but as usual it is only available on YouTube. The DLC will come out on July 19 on Xbox consoles and on PC.

Forza Horizon 5 is now available for thoe who puchased the ultimate edition so we can now freely show you some gameplay footage without any ommentary. We'll start with the entire introduction of the game on base Xbox One (loading screens included) followed by the first showcase. In the same video, you will also find an expedition on the volcano on Xbox One X. Then, you can also check out our landscape video on Xbox Series X so you can try and spot the differences between the two graphics modes. Last but not least, we'll take you for a long drive on the 23-minute long dirt race that concludes the Dirt Racing events. You'll be able to see that the AI can get pretty annoying but also that long races are simply great to play in such a beautiful and varied environment.

The Ultimate edition of Forza Horizon 5 will be available tomorrow but the standard edition won't be before November 9. Thankfully, we were given a head's start as we were sent a code about a week ago. This time we didn't have the time to make an English video review and we preferred to take a close look at all the different versions we were able to play (basically all except for the Xbox Series S one) and tell you about it in a dedicated video. Hopefully, you'll appreciate the effort.
