Gargoyles was originally an American animated series which aired between 1994 and 1997, but a video game adaptation was also released on Megadrive back then. Disney Interactive decided to bring it back and ship Gargoyles Remastered on PC and consoles on October 19. The visuals have been enhanced to be more faithful to the original artwork, but it's still possible to switch to the Megadrive graphics in the press of a button. Sadly, we can't say we've been particularly convinced by this remaster. Maybe the original game hasn't aged well either, but the controls feel so sluggish in this version that it's very imprecise. It even feels like there's latency when playing, which makes it very frustrating. We would have loved to tell you it was worth a try for nostalgia's sake, but honestly, it's just not good enough. Clearly, a direct remaster of the two Aladdin games or The Lion King would have made more sense as those titles still play great today. Such a shame...
