GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Need for Speed Heat seems to be like a sort of collection of some of the features found in previous episodes, with races during the day which are reminiscent of Pro Street and night ones which are closer to Underground in terms of visuals and will allow you to compete on more open road segments with cops trying to ruin your car. There is car customization, you can also create your own liveries and modify the sound of your exhaust pipe. It's obviously very arcadey as you can even ram trees and the concrete pillars of some Bridges, but it's meant to a specific audience, one that is not too picky when it comes to plots and characters.

GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Need for Speed Heat is now available for EA Access members so we took a bit of time during our lunch break to capture the first 2 races of this new episode. As you'll see, it looks very much like previous NFS titles, though there is a definite improvement in terms of visuals compared to Payback. Still aliasing remains quite visible in 4K and our RTX 2080 Ti cannot maintain a steady framerate at such a resolution. Lowering resolution scaling to 95% seems to have done the trick, but we haven't been able to play a sufficient amount of time to guarantee the game will be perfectly smooth. Until we can see a little more of the game and record some more gameplay clips, here are 2 PC videos.
