Sega exposes some new PC images for the first PSU expansion, named Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of Illuminus also available on Playstation 2 and Xbox 360. American players will be able to give the new content a shot in less than a week, while gamers from Europe will have to bear with their troubles patiently until January 11, 2008. Please note the Xbox 360 build won't have a physical disc sold in stores, but will only be available through the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of Illuminus is the first expansion of the action-RPG game from Sega, which had made quite the commotion in the online world for the Dreamcast then the GameCube with its Phantasy Star Online titles. Awaited on PC, Playstation 2 and Xbox 360, it will only be offered on the Xbox Live Marketplace for the latter (1200 points - November 20th) while other gamers will benefit from a disc version. Those living in Europe will have to wait until the end of the year before being able to discover all the new stuff.

Sega officially announced today the release next Autumn of PSU's expansion Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus for PC, PS2 and Xbox 360. The 360 version will be available as a download on Xbox Live. Images inside.

Surprise! Sonic Team announced in the latest Famitsu Weekly that they would release sometimes this year Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of Illuminus, the first expansion of the game. That was quick!
