Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Gaming Minds Studios have just released their maritime trading simulation game, Port Royale 4, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. These next-generation versions feature reworked graphics and performance, cross-gen save functionality, a weather simulation system, and improved lighting effects. Here is a video of the PS5 version.
The seafaring Caribbean trading sim Port Royale 4 has been announced by Kalypso yesterday at Gamescom. Developed by Gaming Minds Studios, the title will put players in the shoes of an ambitious governor willing to grow a small settlement into a big resounding trader city. It features 4 single-player campaigns with the colonial forces of Spain, England, France, and the Netherlands, tactical sea battles up to 10v10 ships, 18 historical ships, more city building with 50 different buildings (and 50 variations) and 25 different trading and production goods. The game will be out in late 2020 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch.
